At this Full Moon, the themes are estrangement and emasculation, deep concepts based on the archetypes of Pluto and Vulcanus. Sagittarius, symbolized by the mythical centaur, the half-man, half-horse, represents our desire to expand and the limitations of our thinking. We seek to push forward, to aim for the stars, yet our animal instincts (the horse) can be deadweight, a counterproductive force, anchoring us to the earth.
Sagittarius represents the apex of human intelligence, the boundaries of our experiences, where our personal and collective philosophies are captured in well-meaning proverbs like "Rome wasn't built in a day; too many cooks spoil the brew, and a leopard doesn't change its spots." We use these sayings as a form of conventional wisdom, a memetic algorithm to guide us, yet within these "turns of phrase" lay deep truths pointing to the source code of humanity's operating system.
