Tusken: "Our dogs like you. We may speak."
  • I swear the best thing the mandolorian did so far is make anakins murder of the tusken village all the worse. They're not mindless, they're a society. It's so good.

“They wanna kill the krayt dragon too” Never has there been an episode of Star Wars where everyone rallied up to start beef with one living being
  • Ah, the wrist-flamer. Campfire starter, psychological weapon, regular weapon, steak griller, and diplomatic tool. Truly a diverse piece of equipment.

I know, Luke's Appearence was awesome. But this Episode was the best for me. It had so much. The Crayt Dragon, the search for Boba, Cobb Vanth, a good representation of tusken raiders. It was so exciting to watch that episode from beginning to end.
  • "I know how to communicate with them. Not just the men, but the women and the children"
  • 3:20 Basically what Mando is saying is "Your insulting them and your embarrassing me drink it" Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom reference

I think the reason that the Mandalorian gets along so well with the Tusken's is because of 2 reasons. 1) He feels a sense of kinship with them because in a way they are similar to the Mandalorians. A scattered people, that everyone else thinks are a bunch of mindless, brutal savages that can only kill and steal. 2) Because he has actually taken the time to learn about the Tuskens. He known's their language and their culture. How many people say they have done that instead of just saying they are monsters
  • Mando is like a Star Wars fan who has a deep knowledge of the wider lore, but has never seen the mainline films and shows

When travelling abroad it is only courteous to try to understand the local customs and learn a few key phrases. Remember that you are a guest. And you are relying upon the hospitality of your host.
  • I really love the fact that "The Madalorian" showed us more of Tusken, especially the fact that they are indeed a fierce and aggressive society but only because they have been molded in this way by Tatooine's harsh living conditions and that, if you are willing to respect their culture, they will respect you in return. Kinda like in "Star Wars: knights of the old Republic"; in one of my savings I even decided to gave them the Krayt Dragon's pearl so I could be allowed to talk to their storyteller and learn more of their history! I also love that the first scene we see at the night''s camp is of a Tusken checking a bantha's teeth! It shows both their "soft" side and the deep relationship Bantha's played Tusken culture!

I saw a theory that the Armorer- the woman who led the mandalorians Mando grew up with- was a Tusken foundling herself: - the series establishes that mandalorians are not a race, so they wouldn't have to be human. - Mando already knows Tusken despite not being especially connected to Tattooine. He must have learned it somewhere. - the Armorer never shows her face, but wears a helmet with a ring of small horns on top, much like the horns Tuskens have. Nothing definitive, but it's a neat theory.

That moment you realize the pointy ends of Tusken Raider staffs are Bantha toothpicks.

A testament to Anakin's engineering prowess that his podracer engine still works after 30 years. (If it is indeed his)
  • @micaht.6529
I love how Mando sets off the flamethrower and Grogu is just like “That’s my dad right there”
  • So we're not gonna talk about Cobb having half the fastest pod racer in mos eisley?

Star Wars has always painted the Tusken Raiders in a bad light. Mindless savages stealing technology, taking slaves, shooting any intruders, etc. In both Seasons 1 & 2 I LOVE how the Tusken Raiders are given a rebirth. You see their culture, language, social & economic structure, etc. They show the Tusken's can be reasoned with. IT'S ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
  • “They always ride in single file to hide their numbers.” Incredible to see what Obi wan said in episode 4 come to fruition in the Mandalorian! Another prime example of how only 1 episode of The Mandalorian is far superior to the 3 sequels combined.
  • @wolfcl0ck
I love that, between Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett, they've recontextualized the Tuskens into being an actual society of native warrior people to Tatooine instead of just mindless killers and pillagers that make donkey noises.
  • In legends the tuskens are the native inhabitants of tatooiene. This is their planet. The settlers moved in and took their land.
