Diesel is cool, even though it knocks and emits more harmful fumes out of its exhaust. I am not that big of a fan of diesel fuel, but sometimes they are kinda funky and cool as I said above. I cannot stand it, though, as it sticks ridiculously and smelling gasoline is like smelling roses. I personally would not buy a bike with such an engine, but people are different with different tastes. Thumbs up if you liked this one :) Thanks

Diesel bukes can be realy useful in war zones because if its no fuel around you can use even cooking oil to escape the place

2:40 No electronics whatsoever? damn. imagine kicking that sucker at -10c in winter.

I once had a moped on which I put a 70cc. But since the thing had so much compression I started to increase the compression even further and try to see if it could run on diesel. I found that an 80% diesel 20% gasoline mixture worked quite well. The theory being that the gasoline would explode causing the diesel to ignite along with it due to the pressure.

i want that hdt... with that, i only need to refuel once every month
  • @3:04 sound of the bike reminds of my childhood when I used to sit in the front near the fuel tank of my father’s Royal Enfield bullet and he used to take us along with my mom from our city to our native village

I deeply enjoy your videos, I always love to learn new things. Especially about vehicles. Keep up the great work!

CORRECTION. The Bullet is literally the oldest production motorcycle in the world made by Royal Enfield. The diesel engine varient was introduce to India by the name of "Taurus". Back in the days people took it upon themselves and started converting old petrol engine Bullets to diesel engine ones as the Clutch, Gearbox and Crank case all had separate sealed housing. People would retrofit used cheap water pump diesel engine that was around 425cc. It usually returned a fuel efficiency of around 80-90Km/L or around 210MPG. Though they gave ridiculously good fuel efficiency compared to petrol they were very unreliable as the engine fitted were often 5-8 years old and very underpowered as it was originally designed to sit in one place and run a water-pump. Later Enfield designed their own Diesel engine which was a lot lighter and smaller compared to the retrofitted ones at 325cc and made about the same power and torque with a close fuel efficiency of around 75Km/L or 176MPG. It was relatively a lot more refined too. The new diesel engine was directly fitted on to the existing petrol Bullet 350's chassis and named Taurus. The MPG figures might seem a bit too good to be true but it truly is as I have used and worked on them myself. Some day I hope to get one and turbocharge it... Someday... 😅

I'll be honest man when you first started adding voice I didn't care for it much but you've improved a lot with your delivery on information. Keep up the awesome videos! Yours have always had that extra bit of quality over all the rest!
  • I would love to swap a 250 cc diesel into my dual sport. Preferably turbo charged and liquid cooled.

A friend of mine had the royal enfield diesel which sounded and moved like a tractor but it gave an awesome fuel efficiency of 90kmpl or 1.11L/100kms @ 40kmph.
  • @mooiboyace
The Ducati Monster Diesel is a great collectors item, sounds good too !
