What many people do not understand is that for the direction that politics leads in the USA and the world in general if we do not all intervene in politics to defend our individual freedoms, in the not too distant future there will be no businesses to defend or people who can buy or even a car. I emigrated from Cuba to the USA in 2005 when I was 39 years old and I was able to buy my first car. In my country of origin, even though I was an Electronics Engineer, I would never be able to have one. Only the political elites have that privilege.

Musk isn’t political. He has interests in areas that are political. Border security with regard to his investments in South Texas. His personal life experience with regard to the crazy woke agenda that is tearing apart families and communities. His purchase of X and learning of the controls that government had placed on free speech. Learning from that the implications on voting in a free country - a country that he came to to build his businesses. Realising that the voice of an individual weighs more heavily than the quests for capital and invention. His neurodivergence will never be understood. He can change his entire direction if he feels it aligns with his mindset at the time. Musk has professionals running every department of his companies. He lives a simple life and he does not care if he fits in. He will not be swayed by power players against his convictions. I voted for Biden and Obama too, until I learned how deep the corruption runs there. We can change our minds and admit our misgivings. MSM has been overtaken. Musk has provided a platform for others similar to him. Creatives, intuitives and out of the box thinkers. He will never be understood and it will not matter to him if he is. That is why Elon excels at everything he does 👏🏽 He moves in FAITH 🙏🏽

This is a discussion that the Tesla bulls like us should have . It’s high time. We supported and voted for his remuneration etc. we do have a stake in this.

Larry is 100% correct. The vast majority of my investments are in Tesla, and I’m at the brinks of divestment because of Elon’s political shenanigans. It’s hurting the company.

The comparison of an indy band is way off. The indy band is because one becomes jealous of so many other people liking the same band you shared with a small group of people and felt that it was your secret. In this case, Elon was being picked on by everyone, how Tesla was going to fail. So many of us wanted Elon to succeed because we believed in his vision. This situation does not compare.

Elon needs to focus on his business and creating shareholder value, not turn X into a mouthpiece for his political rantings. I 100% agree with Larry!

Some topics he "comments" on he knows so little about compared to other people that have been legitimate, unbiased historians of the subject. Being frank is one thing. Being grossly opinionated without the commensurate unbiased knowledge is another. Bring back the old Elon. And I know, he's really been royally screwed over, smeared, and vilified by powerful people and organizations.

Elon musk has been one of the most steadfast people I have ever seen on this planet, but to see that you have to have a large overview on how to bennifit humanity. Most people are not working at that level and therefor can not see why Elon does what he does. But like many things in life, we just need to trust in the mission and just do our bit to make the future described in the mission.

It's getting harder and harder for me to counter the negativity of my extended family toward Elon, including refusing to purchase a Tesla. Larry's view is right on, and its the majority view. Please, preach the middle road or stay apolitical. Find a way not to alienate significant sectors of society.

I’m a big fan of Elons missions and an investor in Tesla, but he can’t keep re-tweeting things like the fake Kamala video without posting on his account that it was a fake video! He violated his own Rules! He needs to update the software so that if you retweet a parody deep fake video it clearly states it’s a parody deep fake video!

Totally agree w Larry. I love Elon but he needs to pick a lane. Do you want to save the world and transition to clean energy or do you want to be a politician. He’s such a great man but he’s lost his mission.

You can't let yourself be governed by other peoples impression of you. Other people's impression of you is biased by their lack of knowledge of what you know or in other words ignorance.

All I know is the vast majority of people in my life who have commented that they agree with Elon on social and political issues have ZERO plans to purchase a Tesla.
