The Nazgûl are the greatest of Sauron's servants. Today, we track their lives and travels from their time as mortal men to their downfall with their master. Their actions before and during the War of the Ring affect many in Middle-earth. Everywhere they go, they strike fear and dread into the hearts of mortals.

Well, everyone, I'm finally on the mend and able to bring you this video I'm very excited about! What do you think about possibly seeing the Ringwraiths in LOTRonPrime? Could be cool! Enjoy the video and thank you all for your thoughts and prayers as I got well!

May we all have the obstinacy of Farmer Maggot, who just told a Nazgul to go away.
  • @milojones8348
Black riders "SHiiiiiiiIRE BAAAAAAGGGGGiiiiinnnnnssssss Maggot "Go AwAy!" Black Rider "understandable, have a nice day"
  • @_MythicalWolf
Ok can we have a moment of kudos for the farmer and inn keeper who just straight up was like “nah” to these ancient beings of pure evil? Lol
  • @BParker55
"A black rider comes to farmer Maggots farm who tells the rider to go away." 🤣
  • "There is only one Lord of the ring and he does not share power" Underrated line from the movie.
  • @filipvadas7602
This really makes you appreciate how INSANELY lucky Frodo and Sam were at the beginning of the story. The Nazgùl came close to catching them on multiple occasions
  • @kedarraman6690
The fact that they just couldn't find the shire the first time is just utterly hilarious to me
  • Probably an awkward conversation when the other Nazgul told Sauron about the Witch King’s death
  • @saltedllama2759
The sheer depth of the world Tolkien created is crazy. No other fantasy setting comes anywhere close.

I can just see the Wraiths preparing Mordor for Sauron. "Ok, so we need loads of black granite! And who is good at carving it into crazy points? Oh, and have we got the contracts signed on all the steel and iron for torture we'll need? And Sauron will want a big separate meeting room with us. You know, he doesn't like his robes smelling of Black Breath".

I knew Glorfindel was cool from the Fellowship of the Ring, but after watching a bunch of your videos, in which he keeps cropping up, I am convinced that he was a total badass.
  • One of my favorite Sauron strategies is starting wars with Gondor and Thranduil, only to make a diversion, so he can hide his 9 servants, that are searching for the ring. It's barely mentioned anywhere (thankfully, it is in this video), and it shows how Sauron was smart, and not to be underestimated. As Gollum said: "He only have 4 fingers, but they are enough". Great video bro :)

These are, by far, the most entertaining and engaging lotr videos on youtube (or anywhere really). The extensive use of the maps and innovative but simple use of the character tokens does wonders to help make sense of a very deep and often confusing world. There are so many "aha" moments when you can connect the history of a place or structure to the events in the movies. it gives smaller moments welcomed gravitas and almost has a mental 3d effect in the sense that a scene set in field or near a ruin carries more weight because I now know what happened there 2 or 300 (or thousand) yrs prior. I've watched most of these videos multiple time as if I'm studying for a test and it is not time wasted, outstanding work!!!!
  • @Maclean22
There is something sad about the wraiths fleeing back to Mordor after the witch king is slain.
  • @J-154
Man, I bet you absolutely DESTROYED any presentation or show-and-tell in school
  • @GeekZoneMT
I'm glad you're feeling better man, it's good to have your terrific weekly content back 😄
  • @ryangrider9607
In my opinion, the single greatest achievement of any character in the entire series is Eowyn slaying the Witch King! Of course Master Brandybuck deserves a hearty and well earned assist. Brave little hobbit, well done!
  • @AlbertChalmers
The Hunt for the Ring was my favourite part of Unfinished Tales. Almost felt essential to fully understanding the first book in the Lord of the Rings.
  • The Nazgûl have such a cool backstory and have to be some of the most badass villains in cinematic history
