The fact he got a job in a school after what he’d previously admitted/been charged with is insane.

Ah yes, the old "She had a nosebleed and I accidentally knocked her into a bath and she drowned in four seconds" excuse. Works everytime.
  • How can you accidentally murder TWICE in the same time: -why was the bath filled -how hard and how long was his hand over her mouth -how did she fall in the bath -why wasn’t she pulled out straight away Really doesn’t make sense
  • My mums boyfriend at the time actually was one of the first police officers/detectives on the scene that found the girls with his sniffer dog and he called my mum after he left the scene in tears and it deeply affected him ;( such a sad case
  • I just wanna know HOW he got a job as a caretaker with his past?? Did they not do background checks?!
  • @marzbarj16
how do you accidentally drown and suffocate someone? it was no accident. his story is total BS. he straight up murdered those poor girls! gosh, him claiming it was an accident really pisses me off. thank God he will rot in prison. he doesn't deserve to see the light of day ever again. RIP Holly and Jessica😔❤
  • "The ten year old drowned in the tub." How could he have possibly thought that people would be stupid enough to believe that the ten year old wouldn't have been able to save herself from drowning in the bath tub? Also, why was there water in the bath tub if there weren't any bad intentions?!
  • Ian Huntley was the “caretaker” of the school that the girls went to. Holly’s Dad even went to the school caretakers house the night they went missing..... and spoke to Huntley!

How would Holly have drowned from just falling in the bath? Couldn't they have pulled her out of the bath... or couldn't she have just gotten out of it? Why would anyone believe his story when he didn't do anything to try and save Holly? That completely discredits him.

Why would he have the tub filled with water? I don’t understand why the tub was filled.

Abduction cases always hit home to me because my great grandma and her best friend were almost kidnapped when they were younger. As little children they were playing out in the yard which was close to the road. There was a van that drove past and a man got out with a dog and asked if they wanted to pet it. Of course this was a long time ago and they lived in a small town where everybody knew and trusted eachother. So they said yes and he then explained that his dog had puppies and if they wanted he would take them to go see them. My great grandmother and her friend trusted him and got in the car. After they were driving a bit they began getting a little suspicious of what was going on and started asking to use the bathroom. They nagged the man until he finally pulled into a gas station and let them go into the bathroom but he was standing outside the door. Luckily there was a window in the bathroom and they got out and ran to the nearest house where they got help and had someone take them home. Abductions are no joke and i wouldnt be alive if they had not realized what was going on. Thank you Eleanor for the wonderful video as always you did an amazing job

I wonder why murderers go on the telly and talk about it acting like they’re just a random person 🤔

The second you said Ian Huntley I got chills all over my body. I remember when this was on the news, I was only 6 but the image of Holly and Jessica in their Manchester tops is one that I'm sure it burned into the mind of everyone in England who saw this at the time

this may be interesting but my mum used to work with ian huntley. they used to meet in the morning and walk up to work together, after work, they would meet and he would drive behind her to make sure she got home safe. she didn’t know him too well but she always said he seemed like a nice, genuine person, it’s crazy to think what people are capable of
  • I remember this case. I was a young mother of 3year old twin girls. I was also living in a women's refuge when the story broke. At the time everyone hated Maxine Carr, including myself. Almost 20 years later and having finally, after 17 long years of domestic abuse, I divorced my abuser. I've started volunteering in a women's refuge and I see Maxine Carr differently now. I've had training as to how domestic abuse affects victims. It's not as cut and dry as I used to think. For lying and providing an alibi for Huntley she did her time. I don't believe she deserves the hate she gets, I don't think we know enough about her, whether she is also an abuser or if she was just as much a victim in this.

Can I just say, i love how respectful you are, how compassionate you and how unemotional you get with child cases. I think they are just as important and they aren’t reported on so much because so many people are so sensitive to them. (Which isn’t a bad thing for people) but it’s nice to see someone who can cover these stories so seriously and accurately
  • Jessica Chapman didn’t have her own Manchester United shirt. She was actually wearing Holly’s brother Oliver’s shirt on the day of their abduction. The girls obviously wanted to dress alike and so Oliver had allowed Jessica to wear his shirt. X

One of your themed weeks should be called Tiny Town Terrors where the cases happen in areas with a tight-knit community or small population!

Came here after watching the Madeline McCann documentary on Netflix where they mentioned this case :))
