Excited to finally share this guy. Now, who wants to see MkIV? Also, I want to do more design focused videos in the future (like the "Impossible design of Wheatley from last year) What would you like to see? (non Valve-related ideas encouraged)

Imagine instead of having a set of Alexa's in your house, you just have a Wheatley following you around on a rail
  • @newyorkertx7024
can't wait to wake up at 3am and only see his glowing eye say "this is the part where I kill you"
  • @DaRegularSauce
Absolutely Brilliant as always- it’s been so cool seeing the progress from iteration to iteration
  • @caposey
0:55 the perfect timing between "a high-tech moron" and the shutter for the eye is amazing
  • @CleroPata
Valve should make a theme park, I would LOVE IT!
  • @happymark1668
Wheatley: I did everything Mr. Volt: Are you sure about that?
  • @dialog_box
7:50 aw man… i don't care so much about the raspberry pi. but the circular display was a really cool part of the design!
  • @BrunodeSouzaLino
I'd say losing the screen kind of takes away from his expressions, as quite a bit of them require his light blinking or dimming to a point you can't see details.
  • @SIRROM12
Absolutely fantastic! It looks great! definitely put a smile on my face I will say I did prefer the digital screen for an eye more than what's in Mk III just made it look more real. the only other thing I can think of to improve the performance of Wheatly would be to make his body able to pivot on the pole he is attached to rather than being static. I think it would just add that bit more extra life to him But that's the only feedback I have I think it's absolutely gorgeous! Being a collector of life-size props I wish this was a collectible coming to market. Keep up the fantastic work!
  • I’m planning to, in the future, get into Hollywood. If I make a Portal Movie, I’ll make sure to hire you for this animatronic Wheatley. It’s absolutely beautiful.
  • @tum6300
I think having the ability to also pan/tilt the whole assembly on the maintenance rail would make it look even more realistic/alive. But I’m still very impressed. Cool project!

“Not what everyone wanted” dude. This is what I have dreamed of since I was a kid. This is Awsome and still brings a smile to my face. Epis work man
  • @hakunamatata324
idk what is more impressive, the whole project of the fact that you released the whole project in STEP format instead of crappy proprietary format such as Autodesk and for free instead of paywall. Mad respect for you, subscribed.

I love how in that first jump into the pit clip you oh-so-subtly moved the bottom eyelid right at the end. Such a tiny movement but it makes the entire thing absolutely hysterical. Great work on Mk3!!!
  • @TrideGD
It's actually incredible how much motion you got out of this guy. I've been following since mkI, and it's so awesome how far the design has come. You've done an incredible job dude!
  • @joirent
Your new Wheatley model genuinely looks AMAZING!! Now all you need to do is launch him into space
  • @Arson_Hole
This turned out absolutely perfect! Easily the most expressive version of the three ^^ If Valve ever gets around to making that Portal movie they announced, they seriously need you on-board as a designer
