  • Ich liebe diesen ureigenen Stil, der einen großen Wiedererkennungswert ausstrahlt. Ich durfte GoGo Penguin vor ca.6 Jahren in Heidelberg live erleben. Ein Hochgenuss.
  • The pianist (Chris Illingworth) is astounding at playing these complex patterns/rhythms that seem deceivingly simple because other bands would just use a synth sequencer for the repeating rhythm melody. Super evident on the track "You’re Stronger Than You Think ". Not many pianists are so at ease while flowing over complicated parts, but Chris is up there with Alexandra Stréliski and Tomir Śpiołek (of Immortal Onion). Of course the bassist (Nick Blacka) and drummer (Jon Scott) are incredible too. I love the choices that each of them make, and they've got such excellent feel.

    The precision is mindblowing
  • guys, I'm from Ukraine. I've been listening to you almost from the very beginning. your creativity motivates you to live this life with the feeling of beauty that you give with your music. especially now, when my country is in critical trouble, you give hope for the future. thank you
  • Half an hour in space, floating weightless to this music. Thank you for this journey. Trio jazz at its best!
  • If I could play Bass like that I would choose to be in a band like that.
  • I didn’t think music could still surprise me. This album is beyond. Well done!

  • @Greasonn
You guys, Mammal Hands, and Portico Quartet are three of the most talented bands in the world. I listen to you almost daily
  • @VAULT.24
    Greetings from Nazaré, Portugal.
  • @Hayduke0
I was initially distraught that Rob split from you guys... but goddamn Jon is an amazing drummer, he plays off you guys almost constantly, such cool musical drumming.
  • Never ever stop playing❤❤it's absolutely breathtakingly beautiful.
  • @carlosmancuso
For me, the greatest musician association after Esbjörn Svensson Trio — from them, because of them. Historic recording. You'll be in my life forever. Please come to Brazil again

That was incredible. Wow. And huge props to the sound engineers as well. Getting it to sound that clear, crisp, and natural while 3 people are jamming together, with piano, double bass, and drums, all of whom are modifying their instruments and using a wide range of techniques to produce atypical voicings (drum sticks; brushes; brushes reversed; percussion overlaid over drums; double bass slapped, bowed, and plucked; and piano is a beast to record in the first place, let alone when someone is modifying it to produce a staccato sound in the middle of a song 😅) So much care went into every aspect of it. I mean heck, every tom has a different mic, and there were 3 different mics on the double bass. No detail was spared consideration 😄 What was that black curved object over the piano? It has been over 10 years since I was last in the studio, and I have never seen one before. Also, the cinematography, the lighting, the editing, the colour balancing. It is so beautiful to look at, the colour palette matches the feel of the music wonderfully, the editing is spot on and so respectful of the musicians (you can spot a video editor that isn't a musician from miles away, they focus on the wrong details 😅). And it is so hard as an editor unless the camera people give you great footage to work with! And that crew was so in sync! With each other, and with the band. They were jamming too! I don't know any of you, but I am so happy you all produced this incredible work of art! Thank you!
  • hello, I saw you play live in Prague in November... it was an experience.. thank you for your wonderful music
