  • Bad To Me, is a lovely song by, John Lennon. The words are prefectly put together and the tune is sweet sounding. And, will remain in my heart always.

Across the Universe is my favourite song with John. Miss him
  • John Lennon is truly unique! Nobody has his distinct raspy and smooth but also rough and angelic voice! His melodies and songwriting are legendary, timeless and unique! I wish he were still around but like alot of other great legends he passed to soon! Rest in peace John Lennon! 🙏✨
  • Cilla Black worked at The Cavern Club, occasionally singing on stage and was originally managed by Brian Epstein, she was a long time friend of the Beatles. Paul's younger brother Mike and some of John Lennon's family on his half sister's side and George Harrison's son Dhani were at her funeral, amongst others including Jimmy Tarbuck, Cliff Richard and Paul O'Grady. The Beatles first met Bowie in the late sixties, around the time of the Yellow Submarine cartoon's release.
  • To me what made him so good was he was all over the place musically, simply original.
  • My fave John Lennon song is Rain. In the finished released mix, in the two places where the boys dwell on the title word, I still can't figure out how they made it sound so beautiful. Maybe it was just a happy accident.

This may be the first YouTube video with “You Didn’t Know” in the title that actually contains things I didn’t know. Well done!
  • "I'm The Greatest" sung by Ringo * off his "Ringo" album was indeed written by John with help from George. In fact, the album as a whole was, at the time, considered the closest thing we had, after Abbey Road, as an extra Beatles album because all four members of the Beatles contributed in some way to it. Memories, what memories!
  • Interesting that 'Rock & Roll People' is not featured. Lennon gave this to Johnny Winter for his 1974 LP, John Dawson Winter III and it suits Johnny's blues/ rock style perfectly.
  • Hello Little Girl was actually one of the songs first written by John and Paul, when they were teenagers.
  • I could listen to Don't Let Me Down (rooftop version), I'm Only Sleeping and Revolution over and over and never get tired of them. From early days when I was a kid, I loved Twist and Shout and Anna (although not written by JL).

#9 Dream is quite a trip. Lennon had top musicians behind it: Klaus Voorman - bass, Bobby Keys - sax, Jim Keltner - drums, Nicky Hopkins - piano, to name a few. Interestingly it reached #9 on the Billboard singles chart 1974. At first I thought it was Yoko doing the female backing vocals but it was May Pang who Lennon was with at the time.
  • @artofplanets
Yeah #9 Dream was magic to me when I was a kid. Athough there are several great ones.
  • I’m surprised you didn’t mention this, but in David Bowie’s Fame, the entire part near the end, where the voice went from high pitch to low pitch going, “Fame, fame, fame, fame, fame, fame, fame…” That wasn’t David Bowie’s voice doing that part. That was John Lennon’s.

Everytime i read anything about John I get sad as to the songs that could of been written that we will never hear. He was such an amazingly talented and gifted musician.
  • John also gave “Cookin’” to Ringo Starr… a real gem.
  • I love the Fab Four. But my favourite is and has always been JOHN LENNON.!🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
