Want to join us on an adventure next year? seek-discomfort.com/yes-theory
Here's the deal.. After Ammar took Seekers on adventures this year and also sponsored Nelly Attar to climb K2, I would like to also say thank you to those who support us through Seek Discomfort this holiday by taking a small group of 3 of you who purchase from Seek this Holiday on an adventure somewhere next year. We will contact the 3 adventurers by January 31st. If you have already purchased this holiday, you're already good to go :) if you'd like a chance to join me, you know where to go! ⚡️ ⚡️ ⚡️

🙏🏼 Thank you for making these videos possible through your support of Seek Discomfort

When it comes to what happened at the end.. It really shook me, we felt with the local team that we'd really prepared the best we could but sometimes unexpected problems like this one can happen. We've checked several times and everyone there is fine, they were really just looking for me. Nothing like this had really happened before even though I have experience traveling to Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Mauritania and I understand that there are things you can and cannot do. I went home after this trip to mentally recuperate and recharge.

The late night conversation with them was so heartwarming. Such a vibe.
  • @MattScoots3940
bro they wove you a mat and built a cot to sleep on, you were living like a king in their eyes. its insane how different cultures are

As a Cameroonian who has been watching Yes Theory for years i never thought it will be possible to watch an episode of you in my country. thank you for showing that the Baka people are friendly, they hardly get visitors.. thank you Yes theory i wish i met you 😭😭
  • Love the kids' reaction when they saw the drone flying, such genuine happiness formed on their face !
  • Can we just appreciate how these guys really don’t turn any opportunity down? This stuff takes some serious guts, big props
  • @TimeBucks
Absolutely loved the conversation about airplanes
  • @African__prince
I am touched by the innocence and sincerity of these people. This is what you don’t find in developed societies.
  • @phos4us
The fact you had a 1.5 hour conversation with someone in the middle of the African jungle is so heartwarming. We don't even talk to our neighbors that long.
  • @goddyblaq
To Thomas and the team, it's been a journey with Yes theory for 6years now, I always dreamed of this day when you'll visit one part of my country and show it to the world. The Baka or Pygmies mean a lot to Cameroon. Though I'm from the part of Cameroon colonized by England, i still feel very proud and honored by you visiting my country and telling our story to the world. This is what it means to live in a "democratic" dictatorship everyday. On behalf of all Cameroonians i feel honored. Hopefully the future will bring you hear again and we'll have a better story to tell. There's always hope in the Horizon. I love this family. Yes Theory forever ♾️.
  • @dikranagerd
when he said "we won't forget you" i cried a lot. thanks for the sharing these people's life guys.
  • @belowsky7256
I would love to see you take someone from a tribe such as this one on an adventure to a different part of the world.
  • @bottle-o9798
I would love to see a story about the Australian aboriginals. So remote and different in such a modern country
  • The conversation you had at night was truly amazing. The way he asked you about airplanes and how he thought that there are countries where you can't see the sun.. it made me very emotional, not because it's sad, but how you could speak in a language you both know and could explain him how it actually works. He must have felt so smart after that. These videos in Africa are beautiful! I do hope you guys will make more. Keep on doing this great work, Thomas and the gang. You are beautiful people with your heart on the right place. I love you in the most respectful way.
  • @andrepessoa2219
I love how they reinvent their channel without fear of stepping out of the content creating comfort zone. They are constantly exploring new shapes and ways of telling stories.
  • @giselemusevlogs
As a Cameroonian, I really appreciate when people travel to Cameroon and tell the stories without any biases/presumptions. I am happy for you, that you got to experience this part of Cameroon, as many of us never get this far outside of our comfort zones. But I also really empathise with what you had to go through at the end of this experience and I hope it does not discourage any other plans you guys had for travelling around this beautiful continent. A well is a very common source of drinking water. At my parent's house, we actually dug one and sent out to the community where people could get free drinking water. So I will be happy to contribute to a cause that can provide one for this community. The Yes Theory team continues to inspire me to think different and be more open and this video did just that. As I travel and make videos my self, I try to keep this in mind. Thank you for what you do - and please keep doing what you do. It reaches more people than you can imagine 😇
  • The guy in the yellow shirt was amazing. We need more of those people in our busy world where we worry to much about the next thing.
  • @AlfieMcSloy
What a crazy ending. It's a shame you didn't get to stay longer and experience more of their culture. They seemed like such genuine people who deserve a lot better. I hope they get all of their wishes for a better future.
  • @qvi4ever
Absolutely loved the convo about airplanes. It’s amazing to see how the boy had no scope of how a plane could carry so many people. Yes theory, you’re doing amazing work
  • @SynchroniSydney
No video has ever affected me like this. So much of humanity is washed away in modern society and seeing them have to communicate that they are struggling just pierced me right in the heart.
