I'm amazed that they were able to get Tommy Lee Jones to reprise his role. Either he really loved the role and did for cheap or got a nice payday out of it.

This one was has a MUCH more Toy Story feel to it, with the kid playing with the toys, and they get up and interact when people aren't around, unlike the film which had the commandos fearlessly attack humans in the open.

Fun fact, Tommy Lee Jones was actually so into the role of major chip hazard that he actually reprised, his role in most of the video games, including this game and the PS1 game

The supposed background story for this is, is that another town, that had an early release of these toys had this incident happen to them, it's supposed to take place about the same time as the original film and takes place over a week, going past the film eventually. The kid who played with them ended up setting up their basic programming and taught the Gorgonites to learn to be heroes and defenders of peace by playing with them.

Man, that audio quality doesn't do Tommy Lee Jones voice any favors. It almost doesn't sound like him, but it IS him.

How is it that this game is telling a better, more coherent story than the movie it's based on? I'm actually kind of impressed. Rooting for the (non-spineless) Gorgonites to stop the Commandos from conquering the world is legit compelling. It's pretty funny, too.

This is more like a Toy Story version of the movie.

I remember the mission failed and mission accomplished scenes that were in the game. You would hear different dialogue.
