The Last Wayne's Generation and Arthur Fleck died on the same night. The Batman and The Joker were born on the same night.
  • i find it hilarious that the rich, the politicians, and the media were concerned that this movie would inspire violence, yet all it inspired were a couple memes

I love how despite the thugs are so crazy, they lifted joker and placed him on the car so gently and slowly. It really shows their undying love for their king, the one person that united them all.
  • If you’ve ever wondered how Joker got so many people to work for him. Just watch this scene. He is an emblem, a hero, a saviour, for all the people who feel downtrodden in life.

The greatest thing about this film is that it didn't feel like it was about a comic book character but a real person, which is far more terrifying.

I know he's the villain but this ending makes me so happy for him. A struggling performer at last finds his audience.

“A child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel it's warmth. ” Basically sums up the character of Joker (Arthur Fleck)

Thomas Wayne’s life created Joker. His death created Batman.

Heath ledger would be proud 😢 There has been sooo many actors that have portrayed joker and none of them has been as good as Heath but Joaquin is i think the only one to be tied up with him up there it was just sooo amazing

Beginning of the film: Arthur tries to smile. Tears of sadness. End of the film: Joker smiles. Tears of joy.

They finally gave the Waynes a good reason to run into a dark alley😅

3:08 I will never forget this moment in the cinema, seeing joker reveal the iconic smile
  • I love the fact that Batman is created by the Jokers first real joke namely killing his parents. This is revealed in the scene previously were he tells a knock knock joke. He isn't the person holding the gun in this movie but he is the reason behind it happening. From the Jokers point of view it is justice for abandoning him as a child as he is convinced he is the true son of the Wayne family and that the joker just as easily could have been batman which I am sure he finds terribly funny. Powerful stuff as you can hear his desperate laughing trying to understand if he is in fact crying or laughing at that very moment.

The moment Bruce's parents are shot, Joker breathes again and comes back to life. Subtle, and poetic at the same time.
  • What I love about this scene is that without any words it explains the relationship between the Joker and his thugs. They're his fans. They get the joke. Arthurs "comdey" speaks to their anger and frustration. They also felt abandoned by society and look down on by the ruling elite class. So jokers humor connects with them, making them feel less alone. Which allows them to unleash their built up rage against a world that has never cared for them. They fall in line with his ideology which gives them a sense of purpose and become radicalized. In return Arthur finally gets what he has always wanted: an audience that loves him. You can see he's holding back from getting emotional but he embraces his new act and turns to the crowd like he's on stage about to perform. At last he's finally found people who think he's smart, revolutionary and funny. In a twisted way he achieved his dream of becoming a comedian with a loyal fandom.

What’s terrifyingly true about this scene is that there are people like Arthur everywhere in the real world, homeless, abandoned, misjudged and broken people that other walk all over and what do they expect them to do? Personally I connect deeply with this scene a lot, feeling betrayed and judged by others for a long time. To see a scene like this in cinema is like a rude awakening, even though none of us will become what the joker became, it’s nice to see him finally get what he wanted, acceptance from the society that abandoned him.
