So, this guy is his own boss? Then he puts his own daughter in a position where she spends taxpayer money? And nobody stands up and says "Scuz me?" Then it takes a year or more to 'investigate'?

The only difference between this chief and this city and every other city is that they got caught. Sheriffs departments raided legal weee dispensaries in Orange County ca and they took all the inventory and took over the lease and the retired officer keep the business running and 30 different locations. They also seize cars and other property and then buy it for pennies and then resell it. This type of behavior has been going on since the dawn of policing

This is endemic all over the whole country. Mark my words, there will be local and circuit judges that will be implicated soon enough.

Seems to me, these days, we have more to fear out of our law enforcement and judicial system, including judges, than we do from anyone else.

This is not an isolated incident. This is the norm. They got busted because they were stingy, did not share with other officials.
