The Don would walk 9 miles to work every single day despite the weather or his personal safety… he risked it all for his family… and dreamed one day of his very slow walk being over and finally being able to own a car for himself so he can provide for his family
When I was thinking about the “HEALING” music video, I couldn’t get Don out of my head... I knew I had to get him involved… so I hit up my friend, and director, Theo Skudra, and we decided to make a video following a day in Don’s life.
We filmed in Dududu, a rural area about an hour outside of Durban. We captured Don's everyday life – the simple joys, the positivity, and the resilience.
While I couldn’t be there, the best part of this whole process was at the end when I surprised Don with a car. Seeing his reaction was priceless. It was one of his dreams to own a car, and knowing I could help make that happen was incredible.
With this video, I wanted to show that Don’s positive attitude and joyful spirit are something we can all learn from, no matter what we’re going through. His story is a reminder that even when life gets tough, you can still find reasons to smile. I hope this video touches your hearts like it did mine.

A wise man once told me "in pursuit of greatness and wealth you must help the ones around you and in that God blesses you and will look out for you". What Gordo did for this family is a reminder to always be kind

This is so wholesome. Love it. Is it only me or did everyone else notice how beautiful his house is? This man has clearly worked hard for his family.

A beautiful story of a hard-working man, trying to give his family all he can. Many South Africans see their fathers, uncles, and brothers in this video right now.

God works in mysterious ways, congrats Uncle Don

their story is so amazing, and even given their difficult situation they are still so happy and dance everyday. we need to be more grateful for what we have everyday.

I watched this video more time 10 times already, it’s 1am, let me sleep, I’m watching it again when the sun rises…. Because this has to be the highlight for all South Africans in 2024…. Victor Hugo once said No army in the world can stop an idea whose time has come. 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿

When he said "it's too much"💔 oh my people. Blessings upon blessing to our dancing uncle.

THIS is the everyday South African story the media will never portray but there's so much beauty in the way it's portrayed. This is exactly how we spent time with our parents dancing Vs how they spend their day at work, We now see through the eyes of this man who makes our day on Tik Tok. Blessings. South Africa approves.🇿🇦
-
The quintessential South African story. No matter how bad it is, we still dance. ❤🇿🇦
