So, Rob has played with water, earth, and now, wind. If he plays music with fire, he solidifies himself as the musical Avatar.

I wanna point out that half this video is a kid jamming with Rob Scallon who also told him that he’s the reasoning he started playing guitar and I think that’s just really wholesome

A year ago i was biking with my acoustic on my back. It was a grey windy day and i had just gotten broken up with. I dont know where i was going but i was just trying to get out and on my bike home i heard this constant harmony and couldn’t figure out what it was. It was strangely beautiful and created this weird memory for me. I guess im dumb for not realizing it was my guitar until now but im glad it made that noise when it did.
  • I will never forget that I have witnessed two men playing guitars on a beach in a gloomy windy day. As they play, the wind sings along with them, using the guitars that they're using as it's voice. It brings inner peace to me and I hope the same goes to anyone who watches this video.

The guitar is now classed as a woodwind instrument.

12:05 Rob points to the wind and says "There comes the chorus" dude that's poetry.

Dude!! This was my childhood best friend. We drifted apart over the years but I recognized him instantly. That's so cool to see how far he's come, he's extremely musically gifted and he's extremely smart. Happy for you my guy! Edit: Also what's crazy is when we were kids we were both really into science and robotics, now after years apart we're both heavily into playing guitar, he plays other instruments too that I have no clue how to play, but still cool.

What a moment, playing the song that ignited your passion for guitar with the person who wrote it, once in a lifetime stuff.

It's like a natural feedback pedal

The sand added a bit of percussion and it actually sounds pretty rad, like a rain stick or something. If you could harness it when it gets powerful instead of it just sounding like static. When it’s lightly hitting the guitar body it sounds rad.

It was so crazy finding this video. I met Jaden in our home state by a college campus. Played guitar with him for hours and his talents amazed me. He wore bells on his heels to create a beat, and introduced me to the tongue drum. Such a talented musician

I used to do something totally similar to this when I was 17. My room was filled with instruments and depending on the chord I played the other instruments would vibrate at the same frequency and it was like the entire room was playing with me.

The sand actually sounded quite pleasant

Here in Chile, in a city called La Ligua, we have a unique instrument called "El Viento," which means "The Wind." It's a wind instrument made from steel sheets and wires that produces calm and soft tones when the wind blows through it (though sometimes it can be a little eerie). It was built in 1986 on the top of a hydroelectric plant, and it's a giant structure with a beautiful view of the valley.

As a Chicago native, I'm glad that Rob finally knows what a beautiful 70 degree day here is like. Just look at those gorgeous grey clouds.
  • @Scythe17
I love how serene this is, and how much contrast that has to the grey city world in the background. He found a way to destress in a legendary spot. It's a few steps from a city street, but that sound brings you hundreds of miles away from this world.
  • @ApexATL
That shot of the camera falling over at 14:25 somehow managed to be so smooth and cinematic. I bet they felt like this video would be a little chaotic while filming, but somehow the chaos of the sand and wind really created something special

I've known about this technique for years (stumbled across it by complete accident about eleven years ago), but I'm so glad to see someone making a video out of it online and sharing this beautiful sound with the world. 😍🙏👍🌹✨ I'm also happy to see it passing on to a new generation. ☺️🙏👍 My fingers have gone arthritic, so it's difficult for me to play the guitar anymore. 😢 I miss playing instruments so much... Seeing you two get to play with the wind brought back so many happy, serene memories and reminded me of some of the beauty in life that I haven't thought about in years. 😅☺️😭🙏👍✨😍🌹🔥💕❤️♥️💗🌼🌺🌻🌸💮🌷👏
