  • I don't think Jack Black was even acting he just showed up and kinda did his thing.

This movie is so precious. A proper feel good movie that’ll never get old for me. Bless these kids that are grown up by now and their musical chemistry is beautiful. I frickin love this scene

The part of him just rocking out in front of a group of kids always gets me😂

"It's perfect, you are perfect" The smile Zack gives when he feels useful and validated... It's the little details that makes this movie great man

It’s so painful to rewatch all these childhood movies and realise you’re much closer to the age of the teacher than the kids 💀

This whole movie was actually just cameras following around Jack black as he illegally entered a school
  • @Lordgrayson
The smile Freddy gives when Dewey praises his drumming is so great. Clearly he never thought he was gonna be good at music so was that kid relegated to the triangle in music class, but now he's not only able to play something but receiving praise for doing a good job. love that positive reinforcement Also side not, same thing with Lawrence's smile when jack is singing that he is good at piano
  • This movie is so sweet natured. Watching those kids light up when he encourages them, just wonderful.

I whole-heartedly believe that Jack Black’s performance in this movie is one of the best of all time, and that he should’ve been nominated for an academy award.

Don't forget this guy actually makes music. That's why he looks so passionate
  • @KianAnanda32320
He’s a fun teacher. Not like any other teachers who think creativity is a waste of time
  • Man the acting Jack Black Has Done in this movie is totally badass and the passion he shows while playing rock music or the guitar that is just amazing!!!
  • Seeing Jack Black this young and seeing what he's like now, makes me happy that he's never lost touch with his inner self, he's still a kid stuck in a grown man's body.

“It will test your head, and your mind. And your brain too.”

One underrated thing from this scene is the camera work. The subtle zoom in on Jack after the kid asks "are we not in the band?" Shows without words how much that hit home for his character. This movie truly is an underrated masterpiece and something I go to whenever I need a pick-me-up. Love it.
