    This is why I don't mind waiting as long as I need for this to come out. The animation is beautifully detailed and smooth like butter, I can't imagine how long it takes to make Kirie walk so fluidly, and they captured Junji's style very well. This is already leagues above what we got with Junji Ito Collection.

    This is what the Junji Ito Collection should have looked like. The Black and White makes for an eerie atmosphere.

    The choice of dropping colour was a very good choice because it gives them extra resources focus on making the actual animation and line-work better. Looks like it's payed off very well.

    “Wonder what is taking so long to release this.” Kirie walking in smooth animation “Nah I can wait much longer.” If they implement all of Junji’s horror with that quality of animation, then I can definitely wait for a very long time until it is complete.

    I am SO incredibly happy that we're getting some animated Junji Ito other than the Junji Ito collection lol. this looks so beautiful and captures his style so wonderfully. As a long-time Junji Ito fan, I am indescribably excited. Edit: Im also so glad they decided to go greyscale. That was a fantastic choice. I am going bonkers and fucking yonkers bro.

    I'm cautiously optimistic. On one hand, Junji Itou has never translated well from the page to the screen before. But this looks beautiful and the atmosphere feels right, could this be time it finally works? I want so bad for that to be the case, because this man deserves all the props he gets. I'll be keeping an eye out for it.
