Microsoft Finally Lets You Uninstall Edge, Bing, and Cortana

Just set your region to EU when you buy a new computer, upgrade, or do a fresh install of Windows.

That is indeed good for EU users indeed however when an app is uninstalled by default it only removes it from the user account but to completely remove it from the image Dism must be used or a script.

Anyone can uninstall Cortana. The only ones limited to the EU are Edge and Bing.

Cortana has been depreciated, so you should be able to uninstall it anywhere. I removed it from my PC in the USA. Copliot (Al) replaces Cortana

i have a problem with explorer.exe when i open a lot folders memory it goes up to to 450mb for exemple but when i call close them it only goes down to 380mb the only temp solution is to restart explorer anyone has this problem on the new build ?

Well Brian I fail to see why they are only rolling this out in the EU only as I live in Australia which I guess is going to be left out of this situation - it seems to me to be quite bizarre and as a dedicated cynic I reckon they have been doing deals with the powers that be in the EU.

how to remove Speech Recognition (Win 10) totally? It keeps poping up every logon when I have it disabled everywhere. The only entry is in privacy settings where I don't have option to turn off microphone to 1 specific app (List appearing down the page where only 1 toggle is there). Above options do give individual controls but below list is just either all on or all off. I don't want to off everything just want to remove Speech recognition totally from my system. Pls help in this case, M tired of searching n feel like I will never ever find the fix for it. Thanks in advance

Hello Brian,after installing a fresh EU version if I login to my microsoft account in Office in order to activate and use it, will it also change the local user account of the pc to a Microsoft based user account?

I actually use Bing Chat regularly and have integrated Copilot with my work. Idc at the moment if Microsoft is collecting data off of me, I just control whether or not I want Bing chat to have access to my browser or not. I mainly use Chaptgpt 3.5 or 4 anyways. But in a pinch it’s nice and helps me with research. So yeah helpful.

In the USA, using IOBIT uninstaller you can uninstall all of the above.

All you'd have to do is install Windows, after setup, you can change your region to any region in the world. A minor inconvenience, but a viable workaround nonetheless.

There is a notepad in your C drive. I think you can change it to uninstall Edge & so on. What do you think Brian?

Xbox apps waste computer space and reduce performance. Hope they change this setting to optional.
