Mr. Belal, I sincerely respect your way of interpreting and understanding the Quran and quoting Allah’s SWT words. You translate it how it is meant to be without adding your own opinion to it and let people decide for themselves. Indeed Allah SWT said the best clothing is the clothing of righteous. Ameen.

Imam Abu Hanifah r.a said that the niqab is recommended during times of great trial. The niqab is not allowed during umrah and hajj since these are acts of worship and no fitna/fasad (mischief) should be tolerated. The niqab is without a doubt taken to increase taqwa (god fearing) and to dispel doubtfulness.

About the headscarf and clothes, also the traditional clothes in Spain included headscarf and modest clothing until not long ago ma sha Allah... Still 25 years ago you could see elderly women in the villages wearing black traditional modest clothes and a headscarf and still today traditional dresses in Galicia, Vasque Country, and so on when there are festivities people wear it to preserve their culture :) It so beautiful to see.

I love scholars who being science into the conversation so our average/laymen brains can actually grasp the religious ruling. It is true and we continue to learn with many new, sound scientific discoveries that Islam is truly a scientific religion ....bc many of our rulings have basis on science. We just don't know enough. So we trust Allah and all He commands us, sA. It's easy to lose faith w a poor support system but to reflect in these teachings really makes your reflect. As I listen to this teacher, it dawned on me it is bc of the genetic material transfered thru the mothers milk, that a child becomes bonded genetically to that bloodline. Subhanallah! May Allah bless the scholarship and those in pursuit of knowledge to be closer to Allah. Ameen. May
