  • Hey guys. For some reason, this video was automatically posted with the comments off, I don't know why. I'm really sorry about that. UPDATE: Apparently the video wasn't posted with the comments off, the comments just turned off by themselves for no reason a few minutes later. Still no idea why.

I think that Enid's character is perfectly written for the role she plays. She is the opposite of Wednesday, hence the over-the-top display of the emotions. Also, she is a young werewolf, basically a PUPPY, and when you think about it this way, everything she does makes perfect sense.
  • As a "die-hard Addams family fan" The show was objectively good, I loved Jenna Ortega as Wednesday. However, in an effort to make the show a more relatable teenage drama, they try to create an element of the classic teenage-parent rift that completely misses the point of the Addams family. The original sitcom was created to poke fun at other 50s sitcoms which were riddled with unhappy families, and here was a Weird Goth family that was - actually the picture of a functional family. It would've been a lot more interesting to see Wednesday surrounded by teenagers complaining about their parents and for her to stand out because she actually has a great family life, despite being the goth girl.

The scene of Thing almost dying is so much more powerful thanks to Jenna's acting. It's established prior that Wednesday hasn't cried since she was six, it's the scene she shows most emotion in the entire show
  • Tyler going from “I’m THE nice guy, but also maybe the tortured manipulated monster” to “lol i actually enjoy killing” was a part of the conclusion that I didn’t need. He didn’t need to be a psycho.

My favorite fun fact about this show is that Jenna Ortega never blinked unless her character was feeling emotion. It makes rewatching the season so much more fun when you realize she’s stone face and unblinking while everyone around her is flailing lol

Wednesday exceeded my expectations. it was actually really good and no one would’ve played Wednesday better than Jenna Ortega

For love interests, I wish that instead of a triangle, Wednesday got a reliable friend who the audience can tell likes her but doesn't act on it because he feels like his feelings would just bother her. It'd be nice to develop their chemistry and history until Wednesday becomes more understanding/aware of other people's emotions.

I also love how the teen characters on this show are written and acted like actual teenagers, versus writers who seem to think teens are the exact same as 26 year olds (cough Euphoria cough).

When Tyler asks if Thing is Wednesday’s pet and he FLIPS HIM OFF was what sold me on the show. Thing was the unsung hero of this show!

I think part of the reason for the love interests being so boring is just that that have no substance and we're not really given reason to care about them. The writers basically took two conventionally attractive boys, slapped some daddy issues on them, and forced them into the plot. It took me until the 6th episode to be able to remember either of their names.

I really also don't understand why a lot of people dislike this Gomez, in my opinion the actor's portrayal is very fitting.. I also found the actors portraying the younger versions of the different characters (Gómez, Wednesday etc.) perfectly cast. Personally I loved Eugene the Bee-boy, he was just so endearing. I must agree though that the tik tok references were too much.

I think Enid is the way she is because she has the spirit of a wolf puppy. I like her portrayal a lot.
  • The one thing that I will say with Enid (who I actually really like, lol) is that she really grounds the reality that these are still high schoolers. She is a little cringey, and dorky, and all around just awkward, but that baseline clashes with the moments where she is genuine and more or less mature. It still is very much Enid, like when she explained how she was trying to be Wednesday's friend, but you also get the sense that she'll grow into herself a little bit more. I think the key is that she's a direct foil to Wednesday. Wednesday, even with all her faults, is quite mature for her age. The way she expresses herself doesn't come across as a 16 year old/sophomore or whatever, but she is. Enid is 100% a 16 year old. Lol. And a puppy at heart. And most definitely a kpop fan, has a pinterest, and peruses Wattpad on the regular.
  • Enid was cringe to me at first but her chemistry with Wednesday made her grow on me. I also grew to appreciate the contrast of her colorful vibes to Wednesday’s dark ones. Enid’s cheeriness fits in the show in a way that ms. Thornhill’s didn’t, which is what made me suspicious of thornhill in the first place.
  • THANK YOU for addressing Crackstone using magic. It was so weird, especially since no one threw shade at him (or Laurel) for doing so. I woulda liked some one-liner burns to acknowledge it even if it's never properly addressed, imo some handwaving would've done me better than just not addressing that kind of character inconsistency.

The Enid - Wednesday friendship and everything around that was by far my favourite part of the show. They really made each other better and grew because of each other. I loved Enid so much. Oh and the Enid - thing dynamic had me crying from laughter multiple times.

I 1,000% agree that Wednesday did not need a love interest; it’s so annoying that everyone needs a love interest in every single thing that comes out. I also agree that the ending of the show got ridiculous and I couldn’t stop rolling my eyes. I LOVE Jenna as Wednesday! Her version is perfect and has the right balance of weirdo and teenager. I like Pugsley too, people say that he’s too soft but Pugsley was softer. He was with the sh*ts but he wasn’t as violent as Wednesday. The only thing is that I would change is this being so PG-13 because I would like to see a darker version but I get why they didn’t do that.

Gwendolyn Christie's character should not have been killed off. I haven't even got good reasons for it, I just wanted more of her
  • You’re telling me we have a school full of sirens, gorgons, werewolves, vampires, a guy that controls bees, and a guy that can animate art - and Crackstone just HAS to be defeated by Wednesday? I mean she can fence and all, but come on!
