The pulsed DC output from the rectification circuit is at line frequency, not double the line frequency.

We've come full circle. The foil hats were actually needed.

After what has been happening in Maui and other parts of the world. We should definitely educate ourselves, families and loved ones how to protect ourselves against these weapons used by governments.

Thank you . I am A design engineer of a long 30 year career in a tech company ..you are the most brilliant engineering/ physics / science teacher ever !! The pace , the demos , the utterly clear and practical explanations ..the enthusiasm .. thanks so much .. an inspiration !!

If this guy was my science teacher back in the day I would have actually stayed in the class

Would be awesome if the voltage across the mesh could trigger an indicator light to alert you so you know when you are being targeted.

Since the Guard already has these weapons, this video was badly needed to protect legally protesting citizens. I thank you for the info you have passed on to us all. Very Well Done!!!

Wonderful to know that there are individuals out there that are helping civilians, find ways around crowd, dispersal method such as microwaves

Although I'm not noted for being "Mr Safety", can I request that you add a note in the description to make people aware of the high hazards associated with just the microwave transformer on its own. There has been a dramatic increase in dabblers being electrocuted when experimenting with them (usually when making burnt wood-art). Aside from the higher than normal shock current to ground, the transformer defeats the protection of a GFCI/RCD.

This needs to go a step further and actually deflect the rays back at the sender

Not sure how or why this video came to me but I’m digging this massive workshop.

Interesting that this popped up on my feed after researching "crazy" Maui fire theories. Also very interesting how some buildings strangely don't burn.

For anyone trying this at home, be very careful with the transformer and the high-voltage electronics. The 2000V output is very lethal, and the capacitor may hold a charge even with the device is turned off.

Some years ago I recall an episode on NPR where a journalist tested the full scale system that was designed for crowd control. He was 200feet away, and described the sensation as an instant sunburn or putting your face in an oven. Once the beam was disabled the sensation went away instantly. His opinion was it was uncomfortable enough to deter anybody.

You might be the GREATEST TEACHER I have ever seen! And I was a college Professor for 40 years! You get right to the MEAT of the matter right away and explain it in a way that anybody can understand it. FANTASTIC!!!!!

This is a good demonstration for the laymen. It's also good to know how governments use weapons against their own people.
  • @DantalionNl
It is very warming to see I am not the only one in science who is highly against the use of microwave based weaponry against civilians, a great demonstration and very informative as always.
  • Knowing the direction the beam is coming from before you start cooking so you could block it would be a really good thing.

That was an excellent use of 30 of my remaining life minutes. Thank you for this channel. Now I'll have to look for the parameters of a "shield" that can return those waves to the sender.
