Published 2022-06-11
Are you tone deaf? Do this fun, quick test to find out! TBH you'd have to be pretty unlucky to be tone deaf. According to the Internet, approx 95% of the population are not, but for that unlucky 5%, take this test and find out!

I actually struggle sometimes to know if where a phrase is going pitch wise with every tone and half tone it takes some focus - I recommend drone practise if you want to build C4/C5 into muscle memory, it really works a treat.
  • If you are shy about singing in public just let it rip in the shower. You can try out all your vocals then. It gives you more confidence to sing with gusto in a crowd. The only trouble with singing in the shower is that your daughter may record you and threaten to load it up on Facebook so make sure you are alone. 😊

But..a tone deaf person wouldn't be able to tell if they're singing the notes correctly or not, that's the whole point 😂 (love the first test and the general idea though)
  • Very glad to learn that I am not tone deaf! and able to sing beautifully! ... thank you for your help!

There’s an easier test I use. I just get people to hum “Happy Birthday” for me. If they can do that (and most people can) then they aren’t tone deaf.

Hello, can I hire you to do a voice recording for a song? If yes, how can I contact you directly?
