*This video contains verbal use of "Alexa" & "OK Google." Whether you are starting big or small, my goal is to help you build a Smart Home that works for you! What is the next device you will add to your home?

I appreciate that you have a short intro and no annoying music in the background.

I love my assistant. Especially the routines. When my google clock goes of my lights turn on, the news start playing, weather is shown to me and the best, my coffeemachine automatically starts brewing a nicely can of coffee. Never woken up better!

This is a very thorough video and a really great guide for anyone starting out their smart home as it can be daunting at first.. Great work Brett. I can't wait for the day that they just connect directly to the Assistant, other than downloading another App. I see the Yeelight bulb might be one of the first.. I ordered one on Ali Express, so i should have it by 2022 😉😉😉

Ability to control almost all your house was impossible some 15 years ago and I can't imagine what we'll be able to do in next 15 years.

One day this will be my home, just ordered my first item, echo show 5, I understand it's a bit dated but heck I'm excited!
  • Thank you for the thorough explanations and setups for each device. This has cleared up so many forms of ambiguity for me regarding smart home devices and setting them up. Awesome job!!
  • This video made us feel that everyone can freely combine to achieve smart home automation .We focus on Smart Security Alarm, hoping to provide safety protection for more people, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, Door Sensor, motion sensor, etc.A small item may be able to help many families stay away from disasters.
  • this was a good video. so simple, so easy to follow and understand. good on you brett for cutting to the points. you'd make a great teacher
  • @texgem
Thank you for explaining everything so we'll.

I'm still a big fan of having a "smart home hub" that acts like a central point for all my smart devices to connect to and be controlled by. It also allows for me to have a central location for all my of my home automations. The steps Google and Amazon have been taking are starting to push that smart hub requirement out the window. Will be curious what 2021 brings!

This was an amazing video. This is the first smart home guide that does not make me feel overwhelmed with the number of options available.
