New data says it's taking longer for ambulances to arrive at the scene of the emergency here in NYC. FOX 5 NY's Linda Schmidt talked to the union representing EMT's and paramedics with the FDNY about why we're seeing increased average response times.

FDNY doesn’t pay enough for EMS, I make a higher base rate as a paramedic in RIGHT TO WORK South Carolina which has a drastically lower cost of living. They also use outdated equipment and response models.
