so, why did these trains fail 🤓

They also had no alert on the door closing. I was stuck on one at Wembley Park. We were all shoved in, so while I was waiting for the door to close I put my head up. Looking down the platform I could see a red light showing. It suddenly went green and the door closed trapping my head!!!!! At least it made the rest of the passengers laugh!!

For many years in the late 70s,there were many tube trains stored at Bicester ordanance depot, they were there for years.A rumour went round that they were too big for the tunnels!!!!so were dumped at the depot.

There were plans to refurbish the trailers and put them in the middle of the 96 stock trains
-
the half unit was for maintenance, one could fix a half unit at a time, swapping with the oldest one which half would be refurbished etc then the next half and so on

Clicked on a matstuff video as soon as I see it

Sounds like their doors were their downfall

Wow the 83 stock is like half the size of the D stock. They look like juvenile D stock with more curved roofs.
