In today's video is my part 3 of my DAY 1 EID VLOGS here at the North Cyprus.
Today I want to take you to a place here called the " FRUIT BASKET" of Cyprus.
The name of the town is Guzelyort which means " beautiful place".It is so because it's
surrounding villages are stunning, rich and
fertile.Situated close to the foothills of the
Troodos Mountain, this town is the most fertile agricultural area on the island growing many of its vegetables and soft fruits.It was also the center of copper mining during its history.
Also known by its Greek name Morphou, Guzelyort is said to have been inhabited since Bronze Age Times.Under the British rule tye town was also major part of the transportation network, connected by rail to Nicosia and Famagusta.
Guzelyort is the centre of the citrus growing area.
