January 13,2024 inaugurated the largest mosque here at Lefkosia, North Cyprus.Headed by Turkey President Tayip Erdogan and with the presence of Turkey Vice President Cevdet Yilmas.
The mosque was named after it's sponsor Dr.Suat Gunsel.The mosque spans an area 30,000 square meters and can accommodate up to 10,000 worshippers. With 62 domes and 6 minarets.It is the largest mosque in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus. and the sixth largest in the
region including Turkey.
