In this video I tell The Story of Minecrafts Greatest Seedhunt and how a race to who could find it first took place!

Credit and Inspiration to Antvenom, this is in no way me trying to disfigure his video on this topic, but rather my own spin on the awesome discovery!

Big thanks to Minecraft@Home Discord for the Official Documentation and extra help! : tinyurl.com/3ae2k2vj (EDIT: There are a couple inconsistencies within the video so for the full details be sure to check out the document.)

i like how kristopher didn't dismiss the seed investigators' request right away & instead was like "interesting, DO i have the screenshot?" it just felt like such a minecraft nerd thing to do lmaoo
  • @zackv3957
"How did you find me?" "The clouds" the way he said that was oddly terrifying lol
  • @DilSnaps
this felt like a full on documentary, amazing video kunai

the editing is amazing and the storytelling is perfect
  • The seedhunters that found the seed is the definition of intense intelligence
  • @crackedmagnet
You've done a good job at explaining this. Seed finding is quite complex, seed reversal even more so. It kind of reminds me of some of the early seed finding I did for bedrock.

Bro there’s someone that reuploaded this video on Tik tok and split it across 5 parts and got a total of 320k+ views which I think is stupid considering this video(when I’m watching this) hasn’t even reached 2k Great video, I loved how you explained everything and also the editing was great, needs more recognition though. You’ve earned a new sub I’m editing this 12 days after I made this comment, thanks for the likes and replies but I’d like to add a few points since some people in the replies cough itstekton cough can’t get this. 1- Reuploading and gaining views is theft, they will make money from reuploading a video which the original creator could have benefited from. 2- It’s public domain sure, but so is everything on the internet, if you sell the Mona Lisa for 30k (an example that was in the replies) you are gaining money from something that is NOT yours. That is ALSO theft. Just because it’s on the internet doesn’t mean it’s fine to reupload/steal. 3- It does not matter if they credit, because in the end, people don’t want to switch over to YouTube, search the username credited and then look for said video. People on Tik tok would rather watch all the parts instead of switching platforms. People don’t care about who it is to begin with, they just want to watch said video. 4- People who reupload can be sued, it is quite literally ILLEGAL. Also an update on the Tik tok guy, he now has a collective of 11.6M VIEWS across his 5 parts, you see how this is a problem?? Also their @ is @robin_2005_ So yeah, in general just don’t take someone’s video and post it somewhere else.

This shows the power of the internet imo. It's pointless to know the seed and location. It's just the background for a painting in the game. Yet the internet decided "nope, this is important to us!" and went and found it anyway. :P
  • I had no idea the image in that painting was an actual Minecraft seed. Amazing how they were able to find it!
  • You are extremely underrated. The video was easy to follow it was very understandable overall i liked it.
  • @Roger4CS
My God... I came here because a random TikTok account stole your video and cut it up into multiple parts, and I was NOT expecting to see that this vid was just released. Awesome narrative and editing work, my guy~! ^-^
  • Is it just me or is it super satisfying that the video is perfectly 8 minutes long
  • @carman5567_
seed finding seems like a fun group project to do in school or just with some friends
  • @NWolfsson
That is wild. Also, the fact that the secret to the seed was help within the flowers was... quite poetic :p
  • The fact that you made an 8 minute, incredibly captivating and detailed documentary is honestly sort of a work of art. The pacing was perfect. The details were condensed, they didn't waffle on, and yet did not leave anything out. You built a narrative, created tension, and brought it to a satisfying conclusion. And right at the end, as I was about to click to another channel, your promotion of another video of yours was so smooth I have decided to go watch that too. Absolute legend
  • @vcokltfre
Awesome video! It's cool to see this documented from the outside, I always loved this kind of game history documentary and never expected to be involved with any of the things documented. Excellent storytelling, well earned like!
  • @phoenx883
Those storytelling Minecraft Videos about some people going crazy in some sort of way, are just better. And you nailed down how to tell a story perfectly. Amazing work, keep it up!
  • Thank you for making a video about our project! We'd just like to mention though that a lot of what you said in the video was wrong or inaccurate, including not only the methods mentioned but especially the timeline of events. Probably the most major inaccuracy is towards the end. The recreation was started from the very beginning, not as a different attempt, and everything we (and andrew) did was done based on the recreation, none of it would've been possible without it. We also never gave up on the flower method, we just took too long to finish it. Also the coordinates we found using clouds were correct, it's not true that they turned out wrong, and also time spent playing was not useful, that didn't help improve the coordinates. We really appreciate creators making videos about our projects, but it's even better when they are correct. :D Feel free to reach out to us on our Discord if you ever want to cover any of our other projects, we'd be happy to help you with covering these stories!
  • This is amazing! Honestly this is more than just finding a seed. The use of their skills, intelligence and their attention to detail is incredible! This feels like a test that andrew won. Honestly it sounds fun doing detective work
