She's honoring her father while living her best life. God bless!
  • Do not move back the USA, unless you are a millionaire. Quality is going down while the cost continues to increase.
  • 7 years is a long time in one place and it will be hard to transition. Speaking from experience 😩 She radiates happiness and I wish her the best!
  • When you mentioned your dad got you the whole map of Europe, and you fulfilling the journey. It brought me to tears because your dad opened your mind to go do it, and I felt that while you were traveling he was with you. I got very emotional had a small cry. May your dad always bless you from the above.

Your explanations are clear and straight forward It's always a honor to have you here as a mentor, I appreciate you for the time being spent to educate us financially. Regardless of how *d it gets the economy, I still makeover $28K every single week. I truly value Laura, and her helpful guides
  • Heck of a story. Also a good full circle story from the travel guide, to traveling abroad to living abroad. She did not make any mistakes finding a better quality of life and chose not to go to Brooklyn and focus on overseas instead. Glad she found her happy place, whether for the moment or for life.

Currency advantage. Ppl having hungarian wages don't have such a life
  • @EMP3rr0R
Yeah, just forgot to mention that the average Hungarian wage is nett $1000 a month and $560 is on the south side of the rent range…
  • I have visited Prague and Budapest four years ago. Since, i can't forget about thise two places. I am coming back in September. I will stay for 90 days in each Budapest and 90 days in Prague
  • @miola2083
I am happy for her. Her father set up her up on the right path. ❤
  • As an American who left Texas at 17 and moved to Italy, my 50 plus year self, loved hearing about your experience.
  • No man is too rich til you leave the earth you leave with nothing

This is the thing that people don't understand in Canada or the U.S. We have so called "higher salaries" but we are also taxed a ton and we have to work longer hours to make more. Health considerations are often not a priority and that explains why we are the way we are today. This lady probably spends 20 minutes prepping her ultra healthy breakfast every morning. Most of us here are just running like headless chickens in the morning.
  • She makes $2,400 a month but spent $3,360 in May ‘24. This is unsustainable even with a low cost of living and a lot of it being debt repayment
  • @mosqutio88
She’s living her best life and she’s happy. Happy for her ❤

Honestly, I don't believe that she is paying 560 for a 1 bedroom apartment in that neighborhood. 560 bucks is a studio in a district much further from the parliament. (I live in Budapest.) Her apartment in that area should be around a 1000 dollar. Maybe she is lucky because her landlord didn't raise the rent for some reason. But don't be fooled her experience is not representative for everyday people in Hungary.
