I decided to stop back off at this location I found just west of Rifle Colorado from 2021. In this video we are looking for anything that looks cool found in the river bed of the Colorado River. Earlier this spring /summer the river was the highest it has been in 18+ years. I will be returning on a future day one evening and stay until dark to do a night hunt with UV lights.

Rifle is such a beautiful area. That yellow jasper with the blue in it looks really cool. That big guy steals the show though. Very nice!

Wow that big conglomerate is gorgeous! And I don't know what is in it, but some of the pieces looked silvery! Not sure if is mica or if it has something metallic in it, or if it's a trick of the light and the oil you put on it! Anyways it is a really gorgeous rock! Definitely worth carrying that one back! And that big agate is interesting! I would have never even seen it. It definitely has those botryoidals on it, and I don't know how you spotted them from so far away, but it should be interesting to cut! Yes I think you should go back at night, just be careful because it gets super dark and you were having trouble walking in the daytime! Thanks Kurt!

Hey Kurt, I'm learning a lot from watching your channel over the last couple of years. I appreciate the effort you put it. I want your opinion on the badlands just east of De Beque cutoff road (45 1/2). I have some great specimens from the BLM area there and I want to know what my front yard's decorated with. I wish I could finish watching but there is just too much rapid movement. Makes me nauseous, sorry. Beautiful rocks there. Love the reflection of the clouds on the water❤
