  • Villeneuve did a brave thing. 2049 is a shocking, thoughtful masterpiece. Pure dream art.
  • Rian did a great job with this interview but I’m so desperate to see Christopher Nolan and Denis Villeneuve have one of these talks together
  • In a perfect world Denis Villenueve would direct every movie. It’s okay though because we have Blade Runner 2049.
  • Denis Villeneuve would have done a epic job with Star Wars.
  • I haven't watch many villeneuve movies but saw blade and seen his interviews, makes realize how much im falling in love with this director.
  • "To my great surprise they approached me" A surprise to no one else.
  • Both these guys made masterful sequels that elevate the source material whilst also paying homage to it 👍
  • Villeneuve is one of my favorite directors working today. Johnson wishes he could be as consistently great.
  • I mean... Just imagine these two guys working together... Rian writing the script and Denis on the director's chair, I'm sure that'd be hands down the best work of art ever composed.
  • You know this man ain't cappin when every single interview I've watched or seen of Denis, he says quite literally the exact same thing every interview. Humble.
  • I could listen to these guys talk about films all day. Thanks so much for sharing on youtube.
  • Absolutly love Denis work. Thank you Rian for this great interview.
  • Omg! My two favorite movies of the year! And two of my favorite directors! I'm almost crying right now
  • Villeneuve and Johnson have both made satisfying sequels, but it's very easy to tell what separates the men and the boys. Johnson is a great entertainer. Villenueve is an artist.
  • Two fantastic young filmmakers taking up the mantle for titanic properties. Both underrated. Both creating masterpieces like they’re afterthoughts. Fantastic 😊👍
  • With the Blade Runner movies is they are never going to tell you what it really means. The first shot with the eye. The statue with one eye. They are not going to tell you what that is. Something about Paradise Lost and 'dream states' sharing dreams? Something about metempsychosis and apotheosis. Occult film making. The only explanation you will get is silence.
  • Nice interview, but why is Rian continually making fun of Denis' accent? You know what he's saying dude come on.
