Last year, history was made in Odisha as the Dhrupad Music Foundation hosted the first-ever global celebration of World Music & Yoga Day. Renowned artists, including Padma Shri awardees like the Gundicha Brothers, captivated audiences with their mesmerizing Dhrupad renditions, leaving an indelible mark on Odisha's music scene.

This year, the anticipation is palpable as preparations are underway for the grand celebration of World Music & Yoga Day 2024, Season-7. Mark your calendars for June 21-22, as Bhanja Kala Mandap, Bhubaneswar, prepares to host this momentous event.

Responding to overwhelming requests from music enthusiasts, the esteemed Gundecha cha Brothers will grace the stage once again, alongside Pandit Prem Kumar Malik, a recipient of the National Music Academy Award. Additionally, 15 talented Dhrupad artists and Little Dhrupad singers, aged 4 to 10, will showcase their musical prowess.

Dhrupad, known as the ancient treasure of Indian classical music, has the unique ability to soothe minds and alleviate stress. In today's fast-paced world, where stress levels are soaring, the importance of such calming music cannot be overstated.
