We are bombarded with political, economic, and general public debate on a daily basis. The abundance of opinions and ideas is fueled by constant media and social media posts, articles, and blogs that insist that yours, or mine, is superior to someone else's. It creates a scarcity environment in which we develop a fixed mindset - where opportunities are limited while threats seem unlimited. A fixed mindset results in feelings of desperation and frustration because the work cannot be satisfying because success does not exist. But what if we have it all wrong? What if it's not our strategies or tactics that aren't working but instead it's us? Could the problem be something that we believe? Something as simple as choosing to think differently about our own abilities as well as others? I explore these issues in this video.

  • Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future.., I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life!!
  • "Be surrounded by people who think what's POTENTIALLY possible not only what has been achieved in the past" I love that

You can have a Growth Mindset but it is useless when you remain in the wrong environment - The Scarcity Environment. thank you Vusi
  • Why do I find this now??😢 I resigned last year December from my teaching position at a public school after receiving awards for excellence in primary school teaching. I resigned due to numerous reasons, one of them being debts. Yes I was the cream, producing results for the department. However, the salary was a joke; I was living from hand to mouth. I decided took a step that million of young teachers are afraid of, I moved to Asia, and ever since, I’ve been able to save, work efficiently and produced good results😊. Those pearls of wisdom you’ve uttered are life changing. Thank you for your ministry

If you don't change your environment, your environment will change you. 💯
  • I came to know Christ in jail in 2013 by reading a book, "Overcoming spiritual blindness" by James P. Gills MD. The veil was taken off my eyes. Heaven came through for me in my finances too, getting $25,000 monthly. I can support God's work and give back to my community. God is absolutely more than enough!
  • I've watched this video while I was at work and people around me could not understand why I was moving and shaking my head as if I was in church. This is gospel. Thank you Vusi

Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol Dweck. I highly recommend the book to anyone interested in exploring this ideas Vusi is talking about.
  • "The great change that you will experience will be unlike the big sensations that people usually call self-transformation. The real change happens deep within you. You don’t usually see it happening, but you do notice the results. As time passes, you start to feel differently about certain things, not because anyone has told you to do so. It’s just something you feel. Time passes, and your values change. You begin to take refuge in the truth rather than attempt to escape from it. You seek quiet more and more as gross stimulation becomes a great aggravation. You look for different things in yourself and in others. You become more aware of the subtle interactions between people. You are more affected by the mental environment and more sensitive to it. You begin to value truth and understanding more than possessions and pleasurable sensations." "This is all natural. Nothing is being imposed upon you here. You are simply coming to terms with a deeper need and a deeper affinity with life." - from Walking The Way of Knowledge by Marshall Vian Summers
  • Vusi will never stop to enlighten me. He's made YouTube become my class. I love his teachings
  • The academic that Vusi spoke about is Dr Carol Dweck. She is a psychologist and has done a lot of work and research in the field of mindsets. Absolutely life changing stuff. I urge all those that found this video helpful to go check her work out and even get her book, titled "Mindset". Thanks for sharing this Vusi! Izandla zidlula ikhanda mfoka'Thembekwayo!

Even a year after posting this video, its message still rings true. We waste too much time bringing each other down because all we see is scarcity... God bless you @Vusi! You've won a soul today!
  • These are exactly some of the questions I have been asking to myself and that pushed me into a new adventure. In other parts of the world, i see people far younger than me and yet achieving extraordinary things. It's clear that they have the ecosystem to leverage. Let's keep working hard and one day, give back by creating platforms for the younger generations in Africa! Big thank you Vusi for such a great content!
  • @Notesha
This is speaking to me right now, I have a growth mindset and the environment where I am at doesn't nurture growth. This is pushing me to work on changing the environment to an enabling one thanks Vusi
  • @user-tk4gd2jl1w
Thank goodness you brought this up! Truly, investing has changed my perspective on how one can succeed in life; working multiple jobs isn't the optimal way to attain financial freedom and unfortunately, we discover this later in life. Currently earn as much as 10 grand weekly and this has improved my financial life. Great piece!
  • I am better, more capable and can do better. I want more and am willing to do the work. Environmental of Abundance Surround yourself with people who believe in abundance and potential

  • Powerful. Deep. Makes Sense. Growth mindset vis a vis environment. Fact: To thrive, you have to be in an environment of abundance.

Dear Vusi, Thank you for pointing out the importance of location in developing a growth mindset. It can be difficult cultivating such a mindset in the face of apparent scarcity. That's why I'm moving from my country for the benefit of my country. End note: "I see the world as it can be. And it is my job to create that world."
