must have been absolutely terrifying when we went through that phase where clowns went around chasing people with knives
  • @emmaaaaaaaaa.
I would trust Anthony to hold my drink at a party without even thinking about it tho

When I was 15, I was diagnosed with Schizophrenia. When I was 12, I complained to my parents abt hallucinations and hearing things, random sickness, and horrible anxiety. It happened out of nowhere. My friend said that I have most “symptoms” of schizophrenia, and I begged my parents to get me tested. It took 3 YEARS of begging for them to cave in, and that’s because they were annoyed, and what do you know, I had it. I just wish that my parents would’ve listened because I spiraled into severe depression, PTSD, and anxiety. I’m never going to get those 3 years back, but parents, if your kids are complaining about something, please listen
  • Cecilia appearing on SBSK, Ted Talk, and now on Anthony Padilla's channel. Amazing all the work she does to normalize her condition.
  • I feel like this is how every disease was handled back then: Disease: exists Humanity: DEMONS YA BOI IS HERE.
  • @staggbones
DONT SAY to someone with Schizophrenia, don't say 'oh what if it's real!' or 'you might be seeing another dimension!' or something. That can actually make their hallucinations worse and can induce panic. Don't do that.
  • I was diagnosed with schizophrenia since my teenage, spent my whole life fighting schizophrenia. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

17:28 as a parent of a schizophrenic teenage daughter I so appreciate her words here. Thank you for being willing to open up about this.

Who else has noticed he doesn’t say “wonderous”world of (.....) anymore I think that’s really considerate that he just says world because he understands that it isn’t pleasant for the people with the disorder
  • @N0TS3V3N
He makes everyone feel so comfortable and doesn’t judge at all. A lot of people could learn from that
  • Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.

I'm still in disbelief at how complex this illness is. I used to be a support worker for vulnerable adults, I had absolutely no experience and I was thrown straight in supporting many adults with schizophrenia, and I was not prepared or trained at all. I got major backlash from my bosses when I said I am in no way qualified or trained enough to give them the level of help and support they need. It was so unfair on the clients themselves, and honestly just made our company look like incompetent idiots. 😞
  • @clarisun
I would love to see “ I spent a day with Narcissists“
  • As someone with schizoaffective disorder, and severe BPD previously misdiagnosed as DID, thank you for all the work you’re doing to normalize people like me.
  • @soulgazer11
People with Schizophrenia are way too often portrayed as ''crazy'' and ''violent''. These people are human and I'm glad this series is bringing light to various misunderstood groups of people. Thank you Anthony & Co <3
  • @Breerox108
I would love to see "I spent the day with conversion therapy survivors"
  • @Uggnog
As a person with a huge fear of clowns, experiencing what Cecilia is experiencing would be the worst thing that ever happened to me.
  • @larabyss
I did my dissertation about schizophrenia and I passed, I dug into this for a year and it almost saddens me that not everyone on this planet even knows about it in the slightest... People with schizophrenia go through a lot and i respect each and every one of them
