Three Musketeers looking at first glance seems like a really random addition. How is taking an already existing troop and just tripling it warrant an entire card slot? Why would they do this when there is obviously going to be balancing issues between the Three Musketeers and the Musketeer? This video covers the entire history of this card, going over the metas this card has been involved in, and dissecting each balance change and how it's affected the card.

Music List:
Windows XP Tour Track
The Coastlands - Octopath Traveler
Dreiton - C418
Tomb of Raithwall - Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age
Forest - The Last Guardian
Taswell - C418
Alpha - C418

Me omw to travel back in time and tell Alexandre Dumas to write a novel called "The three mega knights": 🏃💨

They should also add 3 minions, it's different from the minions card because it has a 3 in front of it

They were one of the most unique archetypes in the game. If you’d ask someone to think of a new one nobody would say 3m. Supercell should just reskin the card into something else so they can balance it properly. I always hated facing them but once they’re gone something is missing.

i say we introduce 3 hog riders next to see what happens

Strangely one of the most unique card in clash Royale. A lot of cards like this have a very clear usage as support, offense, defence, etc. NO card in the game plays as weirdly as the wincondition that are just 3 support cards

Three Musketeers, Mirror, and clone are the chaotic evil of balancing cards, because they do precisely what they're intended to

At this point, Supercell has to just bite the bullet and rework every card that reuses troops to use a unique version of that troop. Goblins and Barbs can’t possibly be changed if they’re in 5 different cards each. Musketeer is impossible to balance when Three Musketeers exist.
  • 3 M was obviously originally supposed to be a filler card just like Goblin Gang, Minion Horde and Skeleton Army
  • These videos feel like actual movies, where the main character keeps going from the underdog protagonist to a villain

i really appreciate how you pick funny gameplay clips sometimes. Like the musketeers walking up and taking towers... and a rocket flies by aimed at the king tower

This really takes me back. As a hound player back then, i was always aware of and frustrated by how oppressive they were. I remember i decided to work on maxing 3M, and legitimately the day after I maxed them, the cost got raised to 10.

You should do the history of splashyard/graveyard decks

this card alone forces players to have a big/small+medium spell just in case they show up, you can make it impossible to push either lane for 30s and make them waste so much elixir on top of dealing good damage. Honestly, they should've just changed them into another unit with 4, weaker range+hp , but higher total dps. That would allow far more counterplay, other then stun them/kill them before they even get to shoot which not all decks can do, and if they can, that's a statement of how meta-defining it is

The rework to 3M that I've always proposed was making so they are placed in a horizontal line, 2 tiles between each of them. That way, a fire ball or rocket will only hit two of them in most cases, causing the positive trade from this to still leave the opponent with an extra musk. The only problem i could see this causing is making pocket 3M less effective, since i believe only 2 would aggro onto to tower, while the other would split off. What do you guys feel about this rework?

Hi, I'm the guy who had requested a video about the 3 Musketeers a few videos ago, I did not expect a video about it so soon and I just want to say thank you and great job. The video was informative, entertaining and provided a unique perspective about its existence and history that I had never thought of. Thank you for making a video about it and keep up the amazing content.
