I have a quest 2 but didn’t have anyone to play with so I barely used it. Now I bought a quest 3 and I’m gonna send my quest 2 to a cousin in a foreign country outside of America, so we can play together.

I keep seeing used Quest 2s om FB marketplace for 125-150 bucks and i cant help but feel like its such a good deal for an entry to VR
  • I love my quest 2, it was a Christmas gift in 2020, and it's still going strong, no need for a 3 for me.

Definitely one of my favorite purchases. Endless fun and it makes using social media so much more immersive. Plus you can browse the internet on it. So much more than just vr gaming. This is a companion piece.

I got mine used practically new like 6 months after it launched for $200 then got a $30 headstrap & $18 Knuckles style straps for the controllers & I'm still enjoying it in 2024 & I have PC VR, I still end up just using standalone more often then not because I just like the simplicity & comfort of the headset. My IPD was in the middle of one of the notches but luckily ive had it stuck where it needs to be for a Year now.
  • I got one right before production ending and it is great it feels like reading on a curved crt
  • Hi Hotshottek i really like those hexagons on the Oculus quest 2 headset in 0:03 can u tell me when i can buy something like that?

Just got a quest 2 for myself brand new, saqico comfort strap and magnetic charging dock, I'm excited and I think it's really going to work well. Thank you!

Got a quest 2 for 200 on amazon. Amazing value but im already considering a 3 for the clearer visuals. Lots of blurryness on the 2. Was going to get a 10000mah strap and a puppis airlink but I'm holding out now to get a quest 3. If money is no object, spring for the three. $200 is a steal but the blurry visuals will leave you yearning for a 3.

I have a VP and have had my quest 2 for a whileeee, but im only keeping my quest 2 because they said GTA SA would be coming out for it also contractors is a fun game.

I recently started using Virtual Desktop and I was amazed at the lack of latency issues and how it made me feel like I have a new headset. It's eye opening (pun intended) how 0ow resolution most games are in standalone. Running games a a higher than native resolution makes such a huge difference, it's like a Quest 2 plus. The real value in the Quest 2 in 2024 lies with it being used for PCVR. Games like RecRoom are so much better even with my old GTX 1070 that it makes me wonder if the pancake lenses are overhyped, and people are being misled by the higher resolution. Text simply is NOT blurry in any responsible interpretation of the word when supersampling via PCVR. I expect to be a bit disappointed with the Quest 3, since I already know that it won't even come close to my 1070 as far as GPU power goes.

I got a Oculus Go for $40 at a Goodwill and was amazed at how far VR has come. My last VR experience was the Google VR that came with a Pixel phone. I was amazed at the smoothness. Enough that I decided to go for a Quest 2. Hopefully the upgrade will be just as noticeable from the GO. I also have a Aokzoe A1 Pro that might be a cool combination. Maybe in a couple years I can upgrade to the Quest 3 but right now the price tag is just too hefty. I was surprised that I could use the GO with no problems as my wandering eye problem really made VR on the Google VR setup very problematic.

I'm old (69) and have never tried any VR stuff. I'm not a gamer but would like to try some of the VR tours and golf. I'm definitely NOT going to spend thousands on an Apple VR and realize how great the Quest 3 is but even that's a lot to spend when I don't know if I'll really like it or not.....I'm currently looking for a gently used Quest 2 to give it a try and if I decide to upgrade to a 3, I'll still be able to probably recover most of my initial expenditure on the 2
  • I am considering getting the quest 2 as my first VR console next month, since its affordable and it can par with my pc

If you wear glasses these are very uncomfortable and make the experience even heavier. Something to consider. Eventually we'll see lighter materials hopefully and slotting for glasses.
