Version three is so underrated

how I view the versions of the song V1 is the youngest of 3 siblings, loud and in denial because the the divorce between the parents. V2 is the middle sibling, depressed and sad, accepting the fact that it just won't be the same. V3 is the oldest sibling, not really seeing the views of the other siblings, but accepts everything with a calmer aspect than the others.

The year is 2099, we have finally collected all 6 Infinity versions. The world is now at peace, swaying along to whichever version they like most. Cavetown snaps his gauntlet, and everyone listening leaves Devil Town, back to the real world. Where, like Devil Town, things aren't perfect. But everything is going to be okay.

Can't decide which version I love most.....

You can tell which song someone is singing by one thing alone. Yelling? They're probably singing version 1! Normal? They're probably singing version 2. Whispering? They're probably singing version 3..

I agree with all your ideas of the versions but in V3 I feel like it's not just a calm older sibling. He seems mature and stronger, having dealt with everything with a more developed brain, he's been through the anger and the worry and grudges. This song reminds me of him talking to his younger siblings from a more experienced pov. Showing them it's not all bad and it'll get better. Trying his best to be the steady protection they didn't get from the parents. Being the almost guardian of his siblings brought a different more hopeful perspective to him. Like he's Trying to change the cycle but not forget where he came from

there’s 3 versions?? darn devil town v.1 the initial anger of the divorce (I think that’s what Happening in these) /denial devil town v.2 the sadness/bargaining of it , accepted that it happened but still isn’t really over it devil town v. 3 acceptance and possibly an older version of the guy reflecting back. not happy about it, but maybe it changed him idk at least that’s what I interpret through the 3 versions, not saying this is what you have to interpret it as

Everybody talks abt how this version is underrated, the whole song is underrated I mean how hasn't it blown up

being honest though, i like all of the versions

So I know it's probably about a divorce...But a lot of the lines make me think of the holocaust. The main one being: "we're all in our dressing gowns. Mines white and stripy yours is green and brown". Jews wore striped "pajamas" and nazi uniform was a greenish brown color. Then other things like: "We're all dead in devil town. That's fine, 'cause nothing's gonna scare us now". Not much explanation needed here. Also: "I forgot my name again, I think that's something worth remembering". Referring to the number tattoos instead of names. This is a pretty dark interpretation but I certian lines just make me think of it and it makes this song even sadder to me.
