I purchased a Sony 24 105mm f4 to see if it could handle all my adventures in alaska and how the image quality would hold up in photo and video work. This lens has performed incredibly well on my A7sIII and a7III produces beautiful images and video and makes working in hard environments a lot easier since it really does handle pretty much everything I need for backpacking, traveling and filming my adventures.

This is the first lens I bought when the A7III came out. Almost 3 years later it is still my go-to lens for travel and studio work. I love primes but can't beat the convenience of this zoom lens when trying to travel light. Great IQ, excellent auto-focus and compact.

"There's some pretty good subject matter around her to take pictures of" - Understatement of the year.
-
Hands down the best review of the 24-105 on youtube. Great work. Picking one up soon.

This is the lens that stays coupled with my A7iii 95%+ the time. Excellent all around lens with great IQ. I don't like to be switching lenses to minimize getting the sensor dirty. For me, it will always be worth it.

Thank you, great no-nonsense review, possibly the best I have seen of this lens (and I have watched many). And the footage is absolutely fantastic.
-
I love this lens! It pairs so nicely with the 100-400 GM, giving from 24mm to 400mm in just two lenses.

Stunning video Jake.. Best wishes

Another awesome video Jake. I yesterday just bought the 24-105 as “Renewed”item on Amazon for $1050. I plan to pair it with my a7siii and a7c. I watched many videos on this lens and was undecided until I watched you video. Keep up the great work,

Thanks Jake, just purchased. I’m in so many locations shooting for work that I don’t know what lens will be best. I think this lens will give me everything I need for 99% of situations. ISO performance is so good these days (especially on the a7siii) so f/4 is perfectly fine.

Excellent Tutorial Video Jake! Really Nice Lens! Very Thorough and Honest Review!

This was the first lens I picked up for my A7iii a couple years ago and have loved using it in so many situations. Glad you're getting some good use out of it and hopefully will motivate others to give it a go.

Thanks for a great review. It really helped me in my search for the right lens.
-
just bought this for my a7iii, really enjoyed your video and cant wait to get out with mine now!
-
Appreciate the video and review! I'm looking into getting this lens

Great video, and you've answered every question I had about this lens. Currently have the Tamron 28-75mm 2.8 which I absolutely adore, but I'm needing the extra reach more and more, plus the stabilisation is very attractive. This has helped me make my mind up; I'm gonna make the switch!

The 24-105 is my go-to lens. Even though others in the same basic zoom range have come along from Sigma, Tamron, and Sony since this lens was first introduced, the 24-105 is my day-to-day and travel lens. To be sure, I'll take a faster, wider-angled lens for sunrise/sunset and landscapes when I need it and a super zoom like the 100-400 for wildlife and areas I know I'm going to need more reach. But, day to day, this is the one on my camera! Excellent lens. Good review!

Great video..I agree with all you said…I purchased this lens used two years ago and I use it for everything including time lapses…Thanks for sharing ,Jake…

It's a great lens indeed, I use it for a year now and it's true, it can really take a beating :)! Also, thanks, Jake, for all your videos, really informative.
-
Thanks for your detailed take on the added benefit of OSS. This is also the main reason that I am considering this lens. Cheers.

First.. those are some amazing still and video shots!!! What a great canvas you live in. And, very happy - this is the lens I paired with my new A7iv - probably won’t have the same low light performance you’re seeing with the A7Siii but nevertheless, I think a great start as I re-enter full frame. Thanks Jake! Great content as always.
