Embarrassed and ashamed American veteran here. I don't have much hope for the USA. America has a long history of holding back foreign countries from growing. America has done some downright reprehensible things. What's going on in Ukraine and Israel/Gaza is unforgivable.

Please do not worry about other nations. Just explain to your population why US was in every war for the last 30 years?

Ms Stent seems to have forgotten that the US has supported every authoritarian government in Latin America for the last 100 years. We supported Mobutu for 30 years in the Congo, two military leaders in Egypt, the Shah in Iran and the list goes on. So, if you want to cast blame for great power support for authoritarian governments, you have to add the US to the list of China and Russia.
  • I support China and Russia.. I am an American. I want out of this country. It's really gone downhill
  • Ingat Amerika dan Nato , presiden PUTIN pernah berkata . BUAT APA ADA DUNIA JIKA RUSIA TIDAK ADA ini jelas sekali RUSIA TIDAK AKAN KALAH . Hurrraaaaaaa !! Rusia !!!!!

Historically the United States always gets it wrong

Russia would have preferred to partner with the West, but we rejected them. We built an ever-advancing wall of anti-Russia NATO alliances and backed them up with economic persecution. Sponsoring the Ukraine coup forced them into action to protect their Crimean naval interests, which we then used as an excuse to force them into the current proxy war.

By authoritarian, does she mean that it's the US that determines who is authoritarian and who fits their purpose no matter how they rule?
