  • >Gods of Egypt >Everyone is British Ah yes, British Museum Simulator 2016
  • "in a thousand years of peace, what have you accomplished?" "aah a thousand years of peace?"
  • @Clutchjigsaw
"You go stand in the corner with Sea of Monsters and think about what you've done" You're my fucking hero Mythology Guy
  • why didn't they add a line like Bek "Hothor why don't you use your powers on set?" Hothor "Because his heart belongs only to himself"
  • Yes.. the goddess of love betrayed her lover and the goddess of protection can't even protect herself and the god of wisdom can't even answer a riddle!

This movie always gave vibes that it was an attempt at an Egyptian Clash of the Titans
  • @starbrand3726
I broke down laughing 😂 when he said..."Oh my God an actual Black guy!"
  • Worst part of it is that the ORIGINAL SCRIPT had SOOOO MUCH MORE than what this movie had, so imma make a list: -More gods where shown. -Isis appeared and delivered. -Hathor fought, albeit a little but still she fought and wasn't the queen of the west. -The underworld always had its own system where riches would get you into the afterlife, with Osiris giving a lot and Seth giving nothing to those who didn't worship him. But horus changed it by placing Thoth inside the underworld. He was actually the whole narrator too. -Anat and Astarte fought a lot more, with Anat vs Hathor and Horus(+bek/Aladin) vs Astarte. -Zaya didn't die in the end, INSTEAD all of Egypt had curses placed of them that didn't let them get out of Egypt, Bek/Aladin didn't have it (got lucky or smth?) But instead choose for Horus to help him deal with the curse or else she would be killed. -AYO HORUS NEVER HAD HIS WINGS TORN OFF. -NEPHTYS FOUGHT. -The events started with a monologue yes as seen before, BUT the movie began when Horus was already deserted (his father killed at a young age) and was coming back to take revenge on Seth, but since he was only focused on that and his own anger he managed to be influenced by Seth. -Horus also had a long time friend and teacher + some allies that where killed when trying to enter the piramid, having battled off the attackers and (spoilers) dying. So Bek was able to pass through the safes, WITH HIS OWN SKILLS omg he was actually smart why the heck did they take this out. THEY EYE THEY EYE OH MY GOD THAT SCENE WAS SO MUCH BETTER because Horus always had his ability to fly with only one eye, but he was not as strong as before with the other. In the last fight Seth is attacked by both horus and Bek, and while he tries to kill Bek, Horus goes on to grab him, moment of friendship happens and then it is revealed that Bek had stolen the eye from Seth as we see Horus with both eyes on the next scene. OHHH BOY THE PIRAMID SCENE TOO, The water I think it actually didn't work or something because Seth had been at that time and planned for Horus to come to his piramid the moment he was informed of Bek stealing the eyes of horus. What was eventually changed was that Bek had stolen a very important piece of the armor and was threatening Seth with it, but Seth promised to give him all the riches so that he could meet Zaya in the afterlife [because Zaya died in a stupid attempt of Bek stealing Hathor's bracelet which actually cured Hathor.] So they could be together. Bek was very suicidal after loosing zaya so he didn't care for anything else and after some angst that is when horus finally realized that this war didn't only affect him but others too. UGHGG WHY IS THE ORIGINAL SOOOO MUCH BETTER GO READ IT PLEASE ITS FREE ON GOOGLE
  • i like the idea that Toth is actually a terrible choise for facing the sphynx because he's the god of booksmarts and struggles at the abstract thinking of riddles
  • Anubis: ”None can stop me from being who I really am.” The Director: “Good. We won’t change anything about our favorite Doggo.”
  • @p3rcypott3r44
“But Ra says there’s danger approaching so his changes to his true form” “A bigger person of himself, Lame” 😂
  • @peachypet808
The only reason I could see why Hathor's powers wouldn't work on Seth is because he is so self-absorbed that the only thing he would be capable of loving is himself. Of course, that's just fixing a stupid plothole but still, I like that idea.
  • @marialyar6097
Petition to bring mythology guy on to movies either as a mythological expert, a screenwriter or a director because that would be awesome to see your visions for some of this stuff go through
  • @wolfbane7497
Give this man an award he suffered so we don't have to
  • I forgot his name, but as far as I remember, the guy who played Tutanchamun in "Nights at the museum" (who is egyptian) offered to play a role in the movie, but he got declined by the studio.
  • Aladdin saying “ impressed” has the same energy as Hercules yelling “ disappointed!”
  • Bek is the definition of “I asked god for a bike, but I knew that’s not how god works, so I stole a bike and asked gods for forgiveness.”
  • @marveler8994
wait so the protagonist goes on a journey to save his people, then meets a god that had something stolen from him, then they both hate eachother until they come to respect one another (also the god gets his powers back). I think Disney ripped off gods of egypt to make a better movie to make moana
  • Imagine how awesome it would have been to see Set turn into a dinosaur or giant extinct alligators and Osiris has to out smart him and pretty much fly away from a flying lizard
