I’m an OW player and have been since 2016 and this is ridiculous. When they said they were making the defence matrix stronger I thought it was like toxic players not like sweating. Like swear words aren’t bad. Cree or Cas literally has a belt that says “bad ass mother fucker”

Can’t swear in game, but Widowmaker literally says “Merde” which means “Shit” in French.

I got banned for calling MYSELF a dumbass… I literally sent them screenshot proof and all I got was an automated response.

Warzone does the exact same thing, It's crazy how a Rated M for Mature game sensors foul language.

“Club Penguin was more lenient with swearing” Can confirm, near the end of the virtual world’s lifespan, first time offenders would get a warning before being banned. And even before they started warning people, first time offenders got a mere 24 hour ban. You essentially had to demonstrate a lack of respect for the rules to get permabanned.

The irony of Blizzard banning you for swearing when they’ve done so much worse. If they’re doing a speed run on ruining their rep, they’re on record pace.

Happened to me. I didn't even swear. I barely even chat. I say 1 word phrases like "Suck" and "payload." You cannot even appeal it. All they do is copy/paste the same thing which is a blanket statement of "you broke the terms of use and were silenced." So now no one can chat. Ever.
