Fun adventure finding lots of nice apatite crystals in calcite near Tory Hill (Ontario, Canada). Bright sun and shadows played havoc with the camera.

This was such a fun day. I didn't show it, but broke my hand here and was 5 weeks in a cast afterwards. Was it worthwhile? Heck, yeah! You will notice some issues because of the (low on the horizon) sun, creating bright spots and shadows in the video. I don't know how to avoid that other than pick a different time of day.
  • My favorite thing, watching you finding appitite and coaxing them out of hiding. Appreciate the tips on spotting likely sites.

Such an amazing experience! Loved every moment, waiting for you to pluck those babies out of there! Can't wait to see what you do with them!

“Maybe baby” my dad would say that. I like your knowledge of minerals and crystals. Playing in dirt never gets old. Get better and the video was another great one.

so satisfying to watch yet leaves me frustrated too because I can't find any around here. Mind you I don't have the opportunity to go looking very much either. Great stuff Greig.

Great crystal haul! Always better watching someone else nose those boulders around with a bar, lots of good work you've done to get at those crystals. Been a while since I took a sledge to a rock pile, but you've got the right skills. Great little video, thanks for posting it. All the best, Lanny

Hi Mm thanks again for another wonderful video. That sure is quite a hill for sure. Plenty of fissures to go around too. definitely one of my favorite places for apatite, titanites and amphiboles. That broken calcite sure is sharp. I was a bit late for your show tonight but I enjoyed it very much just the same. Thank you and I look forward seeing your videos all the time. Take care n be safe k. L from BF.

Great video...Lots of wonderful pickings! I kept thinking the pink calcite was rose quartz. I guess the way it shows up on camera it is deceiving....you found some really nice specimens! Stay safe and may I suggest some hiking(or work) boots 🥾instead of running shoes? 👟You wouldn’t want one of those big boulders landing on your feet....😫😱 Really enjoyed this outing with you in the comfort of my chair!😂 HH and GL on your next adventure...🙏🏼🍀💎👋🏼🇨🇦Btw, give Daisy a big hug me from me...Such a sweetheart🥰
