one of the few studios that had redemption arc after redemption arc. truly glorious.

They actually added 16 times the detail, Todd Howard should take serious notes
  • Ubisoft could never. EA could never. Infinity Ward could never. Bethesda could never.

Not to forget NMS file size is 18-20GB, while starfield needs 100GB+

Proud of Sean. He was screwed time and time again, and the push of his game from the donors couldn't wait till the game was a bit more finished. Game came out rushed, and they did everything they could to regain their respect. Not only did they get their respect, but devs should strive to be more like Sean at his current state.

Remember starfield is 100 dollars for the full game and dlc plus microtransaction store. NMS is 60 and on sale for 60% off, with multiplayer and every update since launch has been free

This is a clear example and proof that the studio never wanted to release the game the way they did, and only did so because the publisher kept pressuring them meet a deadline. Companies and investors would literally rather lose money than actually wait for the damn game to be ready.
  • @Zombiesbum
If this was a paradox game, every single one of these updates would be a DLC. Meanwhile NMS can still create a profit with free updates. Odd how that works isn't it?

this game currently embodies "started from the bottom now we're here"
  • @xSpooby
Sean Murray looks genuinely excited and proud of what they've accomplished. They've really done a great job.
  • The VR mode is unreal. Feels insane to pilot, insane in a good way. VR is just a lot of work. hard on the body.
  • @Uryanos
Starfield update: So the team is working on its first land vehicle...
  • @babble244
note they are a privately traded company

Well I'll be damned... On release of NMS I thought Hello Games was done. I didn't refund the game because I enjoyed it, however, they seemingly lied to the gaming public with graphical and content misrepresentations in their demo's. Sean Murray came out and said he would build the game he sold us and promised. Sean has more than proven and redeemed himself. Hats off to Hello Games. I wish more companies had their integrity.

I feel bad for the people who didn't give the game a second chance after the failed launch, the game is currently absurdly incredible both multiplayer and solo... Also, the game implemented a really cool new customization for the ships a few updates ago, now with this improvement in the graphics again, it's clear that Starfield is left far behind.

No Man's Sky is the definition of aging like fine wine. It only got better. Remember Internet Historian made "the engoodening of No Man's Sky" in 2019 and that was 5 years ago it's only gotten better. I'll always have a soft spot for it as it was the first game I ever bought for myself. Still remember it, 16,98 Euro in Spring 2017 a used copy still have it and I use it to play the game to this day.

This is the biggest comeback story in gaming history. My son got no mans sky day 1. He was not happy at all. I can’t wait to show him this
  • @Zanian19
Every single time they bring out a new free update (which are of the size of literal expansions), they bring me back into NMS. I've clocked in thousands of hours so far, and looks like that I'll be continuing that for the foreseeable future.
  • One of my favorite things in the game that never seems to get old is having your capital ship looming in the upper atmosphere as you are down below, planeside. It's one of those things that makes you feel REALLY small and reminds you of how insanely huge the universe is.
