For children Olivers story is actually quite a traumatic one. He and Toad are fleeing death. Looking back as an adult now it's still a rather gawking thing to show children but makes perfect sense.
-
Oliver: "I'm hiding..." Douglas: "From what?" Oliver: "...Scrap." Douglas: 0.0

We can't forget that one episode where Oliver pulls S.C. Ruffey apart. Just goes to show you how much of a boss Oliver truly is.

Oliver will always be my all-time favorite character. Something about the overall design of him made him stand out to me and made him visibly larger than the other main tank engines, and the same applies to Duck, since they're both Great Western. From his origin story in the Railway Series, to his theme in the TV adaptation, to the actual locomotive he was based on, and as a personal point, the voice given to him by the late George Carlin; everything just seemed to work incredibly well together. As in the words of Gordon, he truly is an example to us all.
-
This version of Oliver's theme is my favorite! it makes it sound like Oliver served during the war. :D
-
Duck: Thereās only two ways of doing things, the great western way, or the wrong way. Literally everyone else: š Oliver: Yes, I knowš Toad: Sure thing Mr. Oliver.
-
Listened to it again and I cried again. I'm so thankful that my 2 year old's near obsession with Thomas and his love of music lead us to discover you. Your music is truly a breath of fresh air during these more challenging times.

Escape is easily one of the best episodes and stories, no question. And this theme is phenomenal.
-
Douglas: "That was a near thing." Oliver: "We've had worse." Narrator:Ā Replied Oliver and they forced ahead.
-
God! That harmony between the flute and piccolo was pure perfection.
-
The silly cars giggled, but Oliver knew what to do. There was plenty of sand on the rails and his wheels gripped splendidly. He gave a great heave.

Letās seeā¦ what else is missing? The Breakdown Train theme Trevor the Traction Engine Harold the Helicopter Danger Theme Runaway Theme Sir Topham Hatt Rock n Roll Duncan (Not sure about the name) Bill and Ben Harbour Theme Basically, there is no shortage of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends themes. The Duncan one might be a little too barebones though. :/ (Also, feel free to add to this list.)
-
I am looking forward for Haroldās and Trevorās themes

That was absolutely beautiful! On the eleventh day of the eleventh month, the last of Awdry's eleven steam engines has well and truly arrived. Oliver may be a small engine, but he stands tall in bravery and determination. It's hard to not admire this Enterprising Engine! Your cover of his theme really captures all of the highs and lows of Oliver's introduction arc, from his nail-biting escape form the scrapyard, to his first accident with the trucks, to him getting his own back and settling into his new home on Sodor. Definitely one of my all-time favorites, both the character and his theme :)

The wheesh came again "Whos there" "Are you a fat controllers engine" "Aye and proud of it" "Thank goodness my names oliver im escaping with my coach issabell and breakvan toad" "Is it from scrap yer escaping" "Yes" "Then ill be glad to help but we have to make it look like your ready for scrap and im taking you away but we mourn work fast" Douglas and Oliver in the episode/ RWS series story "ESCAPE"
-
This is amazing because I am Australian and this was posted the day after Remembrance Day and Oliver was in a war against the trucks so this fits in perfectly
-
Oliver: Hi duck! Duck: Hey western! Oliver: guess what? Duck: uhhhhh Oliver: instrument maniac is doing another theme! Duck: Thatās brilliant! Whoās he doing this time?! Oliver: MY THEME! Duck:HOORAY!!! both whistle excitedly Oliver and Duck: Go get āem instrument maniac!!! Duck: Wait what about my theme!? Oliver: Heās already done yourās!

-
"Oliver's no use at all; Thinks he's very clever. Says that he can manage us; That's the best joke ever! When he orders us about, With the greatest folly, We just push him down the well! Pop goes Old Ollie!"
