  • Aw, Oliver's so realistic! Not even being able to move like when he was going to be sold for scrap in Escape!
  • 8:00 Oliver stops working. Duck: "Hello Oliver, are we being a good-gracious engine?. Beg pardon of course but we really don't like this sort of surprise."
  • @eddierools
That's the thing, Oliver doesn't NEED a new chassis! The deal here is that this particular 14xx was actually a parts engine that my friend and I bought to do a traction tire delete on my Airfix 14xx, so it's got another set of traction tires when it's not supposed to, which means it can't pick up any power from the tracks. Guarantee that once a set of those wheels are replaced with some steel-rimmed ones it'll run just fine!

Duck and Oliver. In my opinion. Ate the BEST characters.
  • Love the idea of keeping Donald and Douglas separated! It would make them much easier to identify, especially when they’re paired together. It honestly makes so much sense that they should be visually distinct by their paint job, that I’m surprised that was never a plot point in the books or tv shows!!
  • You did a great job with the Little Western duo. Shame about having to get Oliver a new chassis, though. I can't wait to see how Donald and Douglas turn out.
  • @cloudracer07
I think your idea for Donald and Douglas is a great one, makes the two feel different frm each other and helps lessen the confusion between the two. Hope you can find a suitable chassis for Oliver.
  • Gotta love the use of Home’s “Sunshower” as the intro, just like SummoningSalt with Home’s “We’re Finally Landing”
  • And like the idea how you're making Donald and Douglas separate colors you can tell who's who and you can say that Sir Topham Hatt didn't want them to switch tenders
  • @wumpus976
For the round cab windows, you could’ve made them using some random parts. I’ve found that the bottom sides of LEGO studs work pretty well
  • @Arkay315
"There are two ways of doing things, the great western way or the wrong way" And this most definitely is the great western way.
  • I don't know if you've already fixed Oliver since the original video was made, but you could try and replace the motor. Finding a spare motor or replacing it with a different one might be cheaper than buying a brand new chassis.

Duck and Oliver are one of my favorite characters of all time
  • @fireball5899
Such great customs and a great format for reviewing some of the simpler customs can’t wait for what’s next maybe the Scottish twins or spam can
  • 8:39 (Oliver cries like a newborn baby for a split second before the camera cuts to the next scene)
  • I think that the reason why Duck has the number 5741 is that he realy did work at Wales and felt envy for his brothers who got to work at London, so he made up stories to make himself feel better about himself to make him seem like an important engine towards others.
  • @terutend077
best case scenario for Oliver is to just replace the motor. I know the part number is X8057, which can be found for less than 10 bucks online at various shops. No soldering is needed, the wire is screwed on
  • @armron94
Oliver has stage fright he's not dead
  • So nice to watch these again while they're being reuploaded
