  • I dont understand people who work in a store where they cant afford the items look down on people who come into shop.
  • Only for Italians? First of all Louis Vuitton is a French company ..
  • I was in LV a few months back making a birthday gift purchase after saving up for quite some time. The rep ran my card 4 Times and then told me SORRY it did not go thru. I called the credit card and spoke to them on speaker so she could hear, and they said the rep ran the card 4 times but each time immediately pressed return/cancel the sale, and my card was perfectly fine to purchase several bags if I wanted. The credit card representative told me I should "give someone else the sale." Her face turned flushed red with embarrassment. The credit card rep said let's try again while I'm on the line with you. Sale went thru. She had this 'stupid/silly' look on her face.
  • I don’t know what’s sadder , the way she was treated or her staying and actually making a purchase from them.
  • If she is a billionaire being treated like that, imagine the mistreatment of regular black people
  • She shouldn’t have had to be a rich celebrity to get treated with respect.
  • She is so good at impressions, I love her storytelling!
  • I love that Oprah was able to take the situation which involved ignorance of another person and tell the story in such a humorous way. She didn't turn it into a story that brings out the haters. She showed the man for who he was and she told it in a way that made him look foolish and also funny. I loved it!!!
  • I wouldn't' have spent a dime in that store...they discriminated until they found out who you were...treat people with dignity...
  • @esmom1896
I love this. Oprah should have been awarded an Emmy for this reality talk show moment!
  • In my twenties, a Nordstrom saleswoman came up to me the minute I walked into her area and said, "We have nothing in your size!" Rude. I actually knew this and was shopping for a scarf, but just to teach her a lesson I picked several far-too-small dresses off the racks and asked for a dressing room. At this point she was pink-faced and starting to sweat. I went into the dressing room, closed the door, sat down for fifteen minutes, and came back out. I imagined her hyperventilating over me destroying the items by trying to force them on. Of course I did no such thing. I handed them back to her, said, "Mmmmm...no." and walked out. She was frantically searching them for damage (there was none, of course) as I walked away. Silly goose. There is no reason to be rude to innocent customers.
  • She should have gone into another expensive store, loaded up on goods, walked back in and said “Big mistake. BIG mistake, HUGE!”
  • @bjohn2402
When they agreed to sell her the bag. She should have said she didn't want it anymore and walk out the store.
  • My college teacher told us all a story, this happened at a Coach store to her, the same exact thing! She is Hispanic, not that it matters but she also felt racial discrimination. WTF are these sales people? lawsuits could be filed. wow. just wow.
  • Boy can she tell a great story! Loved it!! I wish I could go to that store and tell them I would buy a bag from them, but won't because they treated Oprah so badly!!
  • This is actually pretty upsetting. What if she were not Oprah? This is the type of discrimination we should not encourage. She should have left that bag right there.
  • @SonyaLCH
I wish she wouldn't have bought the bag. They're just going to turn around and do it to someone else who isn't Oprah.
  • Best story ever. Thanks for sharing this with us Oprah! America is so proud to have you as our icon!
  • I miss you being so present. I watched your daily show for years when I was able and found your positivity contagious and delightful. Thanks for being a positive role model to so many, myself included. Thanks again❤
