Dr P, I am a physician, thanks for providing us information that we never learned in Med school. These talks should really be mandatory education for students in their first two years of school.
  • I used to take care of a lady who was 99 and high functioning cognitively I asked her what is your secret? and she said an egg a day... its the beginning of life.
  • What I find most interesting is that there are people that have absolutely no interest in trying things to improve their health span. Even when confronted with pain and or discomfort and even when exposed to this kind of information, they are not the least bit curious on what they can do outside their doctor’s recommendations.

Alf when I asked my Cardiologist, what made my pressure jump from 132 July 27 the Aug 180. It it continued to I was 198/ 105. He said I don't know. I have essential pressure. I was stable for years. I thought it could be my heart developing Afib. I'm lucky to be alive. Valsartan affects your vision, and can become permanent. Entresto necrotizes the main artery to your kidney. This destroying your kidneys. Which were in good shape till Entresto. So you'll develop swelling in your legs. Cause your kidney function is down. Medications and side affects has convinced family to think their loved one needs to be in a nursing home. To rot, till you die. Why make people live longer if you can't improve the quality of life?
  • Pea powder, spinach, kale and almonds led me to leaky gut and the discovery of oxalates and the ill effects on my health. Took 18 months to fix. Everyone is different and what some people can eat make others extremely sick. Six year journey for me to good health.

Wonderful information, I think the most profound advise came at the end when he talked about how to eat. I have made it a practice to gaze at my food with gratitude for the provision, colors, flavors and scents, giving thanks to God for creating it before I eat.
  • At 51:18 Don’t forget regular cold exposure — cold showers, ice baths and no coat😨🥶🥶🥶😂😂. This practice improves the health of the vascular system and thus blood flow to the

  • I’m 25, and have been researching diet, health, and prevention since I was about 22. My mother had dementia almost half my life until she passed. I’m on the same page.! Thanks to my mother I’ve learned so much about health.. so stressful and overwhelming sometimes but worth it!💆☺️
  • Dr P thank you so much for this I am a 79 year old dental hygienist with a Masters degree In nutrition. I starts my morning with 15-20 minutes of exercise , one nutrition podcast and I walk the dog a minimum of 8/10s of a mile every morning. Sometimes as much 2 1/2 miles. I have been working very hard trying changing the terrible habits I have gain through out my long life since my first heart ablation. About two months ago I had my fourth ablation. And since then I have been serious about adding more exercise and eating more healthy. Still having trouble 😢 cutting the white sugar out of my diet. Though I have added more and more sugars like coconut, honey and monk. It has been a long hard road but I am finding this is my last chance to live out my last few years more positively

This is all wonderful information. I’m 38, and for the majority of my adult life I’ve been researching nutrition and what’s the best way to get all you need for health. I come from a family that there is mental health issues on both sides. Dementia, Alzheimer’s, depression, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, etc. . My parents are in there late 50’s and both are exhibiting signs of cognitive decline as well as overall health decline. It’s become abundantly clear to me that I have to really take care of myself. Lowering stress, getting more exercise and sleep and making sure I focus on my nutrition.

Thank you both. Wonderful show. I’m 60 yrs old and I remember when ‘eggs’ especially yolks were ‘bad’ for you. I never bought into that bs. I always believed that eggs are a wonderful source of nutrients.

Great Chat! I am 64 and like Max working on prevention. My mom passed in the first wave of Covid from the virus and dementia. Her dementia advanced faster than the speed of light after contracting Covid. This was before vaccines and treatments were available :(. I am Ketovore now. I just had locally grown asparagus and a slow cooked local beef for breakfast. yum
