Secret Service officials rejected Donald Trump’s request for more security in the two years leading up to the assassination attempt, according to The Washington Post.

More details are emerging about the Secret Service’s failures from the day of the shooting at the former president’s Pennsylvania rally last week.

The alleged would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks had reportedly flown a drone to get aerial footage of the western Pennsylvania fairgrounds before Mr Trump was set to go on stage and speak.
