When I was vacationing in Greece, all I wanted to eat was Greek salad and a kabob skewer and Greek yogurt…every day I was happy with just that. I think what makes the salad taste so good is the ingredients. The flavor of the tomatoes mixed in with the flavor of the feta cheese with the extra virgin olive oil makes the perfect dressing when incorporated all together. I heard that Greece’s dry climate in which the tomatoes are grown in concentrate the flavor of the fruit and make it more tasty. I think that the olive oil produced in Greece or Spain are the best. Try and get oil with low acidity level, usually posted on the label. I get mine from a Mediterranean market. I’m happy that you’ve enjoyed your well deserved vacation.

I was taught by a Greek chef that you need to use vine tomatoes and sprinkle them with salt to bring out the juices, then add your red onion, cucumber, olive oil and oregano, delish! enjoy xx

It's the tomatoes and green olive oil big tip make your Greek salad in the morning and leave it to marinate its lovely to eat at room temperature

Hi Alex, your salad looked love,y. A lot of Greeks use red wine vinegar in a Greek salad with good olive oii. You can also try using dried mint if you don’t have oregano , hope this helps.
