"Ramirez! Take down that helicopter!" - Sgt Foley.
-
I recommend seeing this in IMAX! The sound quality is on another level!
-
The last 30 minutes of this movie shows how much of a larger scale this should be. This story could honestly be an entire miniseries, or even its own tv show. There’s just too much they weren’t able to include in a 2 hour movie
-
One of the underlying themes MUST be the fact that after 30 years of War in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria we literally have how many experienced combat vets? Millions? Living in our population. I see it right here on Youtube. There's a video of a soldier firing a 50cal machine gun and the comments are full of knowledge that no average person would know with regards to operation, maintenance, and quirks of a military issue 50 cal machine gun.
-
The fighting in DC was what made this movie
-
Dawg the fact that you can't tell who's who until the end where the WF soldiers are rocking their flag patch because everyone is wearing the same uniform.
-
Watching this movie in IMAX, the sound design did not need to go that hard holy shit
-
The urban combat scenes were decently good
-
Wait. Wait. "The so-called Western Forces of"... Texas, AND California? Well there's clue #1 you're the bad guy, if those two are tag-teaming you.
-
I've realised the one thing this was lacking. It got all the realistic civil war tropes right - multi sided, strange bedfellows, everyone wearing the same camo, neutrals, psychopaths taking advantage of the situation, atrocities, massacres. But the one thing lacking are mercenaries, or "volunteers". Civil wars attract them and America with it's huge borders and easy access to guns should have made it really attractive.

this movie was interesting...just finished watching it in the theater
-
The Apache 30mm chain gun sounds like nothing that. The rate of fire in reality is much slower and sounds actually a lot as far as RPM close to what an M60 sounds like only a hell of a lot louder. Also, the Apache would be standing off and taking out targets, not right up close like that and with the targeting system they have, they can do it out to 700-800 yards with ease.
-
I can't get the idea of Ron being president out of my head anytime this movie is mentioned
-
Watching this in IMAX took it to another level . Also living 10 min from where this scene took place was tough
-
“ALL EMPIRES FALL” yep hmmm foreshadowing???
-
Saw it today. A civil war would be miserable
-
if i get killed by a dude with blonde dyed hair and different colored nails imma be so mad
-
The only think I would want to say, if this ever really happened. Could we please leave the good historical sites alone? Since it is all our history.
-
Already can't stand the inaccuracies of the depicted Apache helicopter
-
If they used an AH-1W Super Cobra or AH-1Z Viper, that could have been more believable with the sound of the canon fire
